The Perth based, blues fuelled five piece Old Blood have been making waves in the local scene since their inception in 2011. 

Celebrated as “the best live act around” (Tamara Szep, RTRFM), the band comprises of Tyler Ray Michie on drums, bassist Shaun Liddell Jennings and guitarists Edo Ekic and Jules Peet; their modern blues stylings strung tightly together by the captivating stage presence of vocalist Tony Papa-Adams. 

Their strong and persistent following has seen Old Blood appear at coveted local festivals including West Coast Blues and Roots Festival (2015), Wave Rock Weekender (2015), Beaufort Street Festival (2015,16), RTRFM’s Harbour Sundays (2016), Blues at Bridgetown (2013,14,15), Fremantle Winter Music Festival (2015) and Angove St Festival(2014). Additionally, they have headlined their own sold out shows at a myriad of local venues including The Rosemount Hotel, The Bakery (RIP), Mojo’s Bar Fremantle and The Bird. Beating a path into the hearts and minds of their audiences, Old Blood now prepare to release their first batch of long awaited recordings “Live at Rada Studios”. This debut release was recorded last year at Rada Studios, Perth, with track I Just Want a Little Bit already released earlier this year featuring the vocal talents of Ofa Fotu (Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics). The album is launching at The Rosemount Hotel on July 2nd, with support from Southern River Band, Pow! Negro and Luke Dux.

The Strypes are 4-piece rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O'Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums).

The group has spent the past 18 months launching their explosive R&B assault on the clubs and festivals of Ireland, the UK and Europe, viciously hammering out a no-nonsense blues repertoire drawing from the songbooks of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Slim Harpo and more with the passion and venom of British blues groups such as Dr. Feelgood, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Animals. 

Having already been met with critical acclaim from greats such as Jeff Beck and Paul Weller and been tipped by NME as the No. 1 new band to watch, it seems things can only get better for The Strypes.
