Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano have come together to serve up a very personal remix of the hugely influential self-titled classic by Age Of Love. It lands on the original Belgian label Diki Records on August 13th.

Age Of Love wrote and released their most iconic track in 1990. It went on to become a stone-cold dance classic that inspired a whole trance movement that has endured throughout the years. 

The idea to remix 'Age Of Love' started taking shape when KNTXT boss Charlotte was in lockdown with esteemed Italian techno artist Enrico at the end of February last year. As soon as the track was finished, it was played in several live streams and the online community quickly fell in love. The remix bears all the hallmarks of both producers, who between them have a number of Beatport hits and have crafted everything from the darkest drums to the most emotional synths to great effect.

Say Charlotte and Enrico, "It's a very meaningful track for both of us, for various reasons, and it brings back many joyful memories. Remixing such a legendary track was a super fun thing to do, but we noticed how easily and spontaneously we could work together in the studio. We are beyond excited to finally unleash our remix to the world. And this at a time where the world finally seems to be going back to normal. There is no better time for a New Age Of Love. We're ready."

'Age Of Love' (Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano Remix) is a big, driving techno roller. It has heavyweight drums and stripped back percussion which leaves plenty of room for the ionic synth lead and spine-tingling vocals to ring out and really work the crowd into a trance. 

This fantastic remix brings a new perspective to one of dance music's most celebrated and influential tracks.

Following outings on Rinse FM and HOR, German producer Rove Ranger takes aim on the next release of Lobster Theremin’s full-blooded techno assault; 4 very different cuts of pulsating, bass-driven techno that have one eye in the rear view mirror and the other firmly fixated ahead.

‘CS80’ is an aquatic, rhythmic experience; bubbling with blues, greens and pinks in a techno climate so often associated with grey. A beautiful blend of the new and old school. Tough, but with a touch of soul. ‘Millennial Millenium’ is a blissful trip through neighbouring underworlds and spirit hollows, unrelenting kicks and ghostly atmospherics crafting a cut of psychedelic graveyard techno.

‘La Manana’ is more of a heads-down affair. Punchy bass accompanies the kicks on a track that instantly captivates; less concerned with emotion and more with increasing heart rates; it's a tripped-out, bouncy experience that screams fun. The EP is rounded off with ‘Horse On Acid’. Have you ever seen a horse on acid? We have, and this is exactly what it sounded like.

As someone who's studied jazz and trained as a jazz drummer, @Paleman knows a thing or two about percussion and the freedom it allows. Ever-creative and forward-thinking, the Manchester producer is returning to his self-titled imprint for the four-tracked 'PLMN004'. The release follows last year's sold-out, one-take improvisations of 'PLMN003' and 'Music for Three Cymbals', a record improvised using (you guessed it) three cymbals, two mics and some mallets. 'PLMN004' is full of dark, shadowy club constructs like 'Wax Wasp', which we're premiering below. Placing drumwork front and centre of the track, Paleman goes for cold and cavernous techno, employing rhythmic switch-ups and dull thuds, sounding like as though someone's hammering on the door. In anticipation of the EP coming out on April 17th, listen to 'Wax Wasp' in full.

For this next release scheduled for 1st of December, Titoffee, (who is the label & festival founder of au bord de l’eau, from Sierre, Switzerland), and Hibotep, (a Somalian poet and DJ, who is based in Kampala, Uganda), have spent the last few months of the year creating and preparing a composition which combines poetry and contemporary downtempo electronic music.

Titoffee and Hibotep entwined their individual ideas to create what would establish the original recording entitled, “Hold on to your Love”.  The lyrics written and performed by Hibotep, observe the demographic injustices, racism, and resilience in Africa, and she suggests in an understated poetic style, her vision for a better life through the collective principals of empathy, solidarity, and hope.

The remixes includes a planning version by Felix Laband, pioneer of the 2000 South African electronic music scene & Leeu, talented downtempo producer from Johannesburg and  a downtempo percussive mix, by Soul Wun, a 22-year-old music producer from Newcastle in Australia, who is highly regarded for his atmospheric and melodic music compositions.

Dee C’rell, English composer, producer, pianist, and DJ, recognised world-wide for his pioneering compositional within electronic, contemporary, and jazz related music has joined his force. The Hibotep poesy was initially inspired by an instrumental composition by Dee C’rell entitled, “Catching Stars As They Fall”, which was released on Holm Records in 2017 and that will be re-released.

Each remix offers a unique version of the original track, that lets us enjoy this coming winter with the emergence of hope and love as we head forward from these somewhat, difficult times.
