@priori-ties is an alias of Montréal-based Québecois musician, Francis Latreille. In 2019, he released the thematic full length ‘On A Nimbus’ for his own label NAFF (which he runs with Ex-Terrestrial), showcasing the breadth and scope of his production. The more recent ‘SCN’ EP released on Canadian label DustWORLD, further strengthened his sound and showed the hypnotic potential of his music. Since then, he has kept exploring different avenues, releasing the uplifting trance single ‘Infinity’ and a series of thrillingly rugged tracks under his RED alias. 

Since its inception in 2018, NAFF's uncompromising releases have shown Latreille’s eccentrically-tuned ear for curation – this managed to land them in Mixmag's Best Labels of 2018 list. The young label shows no signs of stopping, having recently released a string of refreshing records by fellow Canadian artists Ambien Baby, URA & Maara. 

Known to be an avid collaborator, Latreille is involved in a number of projects including Jump Source, M.S.L., New World Science, Healion, ANF and more. His knack for textural sounds and his technical proficiency in the studio have led him to work on numerous projects by fellow artists (Ex-Terrestrial, Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Escape Artist, Gene Tellem, to name a few). Whether live or as a DJ, Priori brings a uniquely hypnotic sound that sustains a dance floor while creating an atmosphere informed by the worlds of science fiction and fantasy that are so dear to him.

Timnah Sommerfeld’s signature approach to earthy dance music has been tried, tested and approved by swinging hips all over Europe. Developing her style from age 17 onwards, when she started playing in squats and industrial spaces around Basel, she’s continuously making her mark with warm, reverberating techno cuts from across the spectrum. During her residencies at Hinterhof Bar and nowadays, Elysia, Sommerfeldt’s sets fluently cover (and transcend) shades of electro, techno and house music, establishing her as a firm favorite amongst dancers and peers. Smooth mixing skills, strong emotional narratives and an intuitive understanding of dancefloor dynamics continue to define her style, seamlessly cruising through the small hours of the night.

A co-founder of Predawn Records alongside Laima Adelaide and Tama, Nils has built a reputation for music that feels alive, balancing depth and organic textures with striking precision. His talents stretch beyond the decks. Nils and the rest of Predawn crew are active in Stuttgart’s scene, organizing events across the city. On November 29, they’ll host a label night at White Noise, featuring the phenomenal duo Artefakt alongside other artists, all delivering live performances.

In this mix, Nils builds a world where dense, shadowy rhythms meet unpredictable grooves, setting an intense yet fluid tone. Amidst the weighty industrial beats, he weaves in brighter, uplifting electro moments that offer brief glimpses of light. But as the mood shifts, the mix circles back to its off-kilter, moody beginnings, closing the journey on a reflective, enigmatic note.

An integral player in the current Japanese wave of house and techno; we’re pleased to welcome DJ and producer Gonno to our mix series.

Gonno’s DJ sets strive towards story-telling: drawing on eclectic sounds from the spectrum of house and techno, and acidy and melodic flavours to draw clubbers in. Meanwhile, his productions have earnt staunch support of the local scene, as well as further afield thanks to releases on Perc Trax, Endless Flight and Ostgut Ton.

Experience a taste of this here in Gonno’s contribution to the series. As suited to headphones as the dancefloor, buckle in to 90-minutes bobbing along melodic heaters, frantic techno, flecks of acid and electro and a generous dose of his own stellar productions.
