What a fun night in this epic Tribeca loft. After killer sets from @karlimusik and @carmeldj I had the pleasure to close the night with my current favorite bangers. A night that required maybe a touch more indie and melodic tracks due to the acoustic of the wood beamed magnificent room. It was surely one for the books with an energy i had not felt playing in a long time, with sweaty dancing souls all round the booth and an incredible energy on the dancefloor. Experiencing the Playa at night is the quintessential Burning Man experience. The untamed energy, the chaos, the sensory overload, the cacophony of sounds coming at you from all angles, all mixed with the extreme weather conditions the desert throws at you - it is pure pandemonium in the best sense of the word. It made me feel small and insignificant - in a good way. As my ego faded I more and more felt at one with my surroundings, ready to love and contribute.  As I started playing the bus pulled out of the camp. A surreal scene that reminded me of the Pied Piper unfolded - hordes of burners following the iconic heart into the open desert. But where I had anticipated the Robot Heart set to be a big "me" - moment, it felt quite like the opposite - just adding my small voice to this large and beautiful orchestra that is Burning Man. And that is how pretty much my entire first Burning Man experience went. And it's exactly this what makes it the best place in the world.

Nottingham’s Latmun arrives on Leftwing & Kody’s Lost Records with three energy fuelled house cuts, whilst Crosstown Rebel favourite Russ Yallop rounds out the EP on remix duties.

After an initial foray into production at the end of 2014, Latmun aka Joe Bradley’s sharp rise has garnered the attention and support of many including Lee Foss, Claptone, Darius Syrossian and Skream. The past year has seen the UK talent release on a host of distinguished labels such as VIVa, El Row, Toolroom and Mar-T’s Wow! Recordings.

‘Cosmic’ kicks off the release with a selection of rumbling low end tones, stuttering vocal samples and reverberating sirens before ‘Break’ utilises engaging rhythm and evolving stabs to reveal a heady groove that’s packed full of swing. ‘Steez’ then utilises organic percussion and vocal whirrs to hold and maintain the attention of the floor, until Russ Yallop’s remix of ‘Cosmic’ reshapes the original, building on the crisp percussive elements and low-slung rhythms.

Felix is one of those artists that we'll always have love for. He soundtracked the noughties and has continued to reinvent himself while always staying true to his sound.

His intergalactic, space-age remix has riffs that zap and vocals that are equal parts ominous and groove-inducing. If there's one thing Da Housecat is good at doing it's whipping any rhythm into shape and he's made this one entirely his own. Glorious.
