James Grant presents ‘Movement Vol. 2’, the second instalment in his mixed compilation series in which the Anjunadeep label-boss presents his favourite recent and upcoming music from Anjunadeep, as well as tracks from Anjunabeats, Reflections and the newly launched Explorations label.

Filmed near Cape Town, South Africa the anticipated follow up features 24 tracks including artists like Dosem, Durante, CRi and Braxton, as well as label debuts from yehno, Rohne and Ebende.

The compilation also features an unmixed sampler featuring six tracks from Alessandro Martire, ALSO ASTIR & BAILE, Mare, Simon Vuarambon, Blusoul, Dharma, and an exclusive remix by Nordfold of Martin Roth’s 2018 track ‘Ultraviolet’.

Northern Irish producer GVN releases ‘So In Love’.

In 2021 GVN, aka Gavin Brown, dropped his Anjunabeats debut ‘I Don’t’ as a serious statement of intent. First introduced to the label by anamē’s Marcus Schössow, the two would go on to collaborate on the 700th Anjunabeats release, ‘Take Me There’, which earned spins from Lane 8, Kryder, Anja Schneider, Armin van Buuren, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Tibasko and many more.

The Derry-native showed no signs of slowing down in the years that followed, serving up remixes for the likes of Lange and Chakra and attracting support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Danny Howard. 

GVN kicked off this year with his dynamic double-header ‘Thinking About You / Believer’, which earned early support from BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar and on BBC Music Introducing in Sussex & Surrey.

Expect more new music from GVN in the coming months. ‘So In Love’ is out now on Anjunabeats.

Jaytech returns to Anjunabeats with his trance and progressive two-tracker ‘Nebula / Makes You Wonder’. 

With over 40 releases across Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, Jaytech (or ‘Jimbo’ as we affectionately know him) is a long-term friend of the Anjunafamily. He honed his ear as a label A&R for Anjuna HQ in the late 2000s. In recent years, he’s unearthed new talent on his long-running Jaytech Music mix show and continues to share his wealth of production experience on YouTube. 

Jaytech has long been a part of the fabric of Anjunabeats - he has toured globally with Above & Beyond and was a studio engineer for the label. He has since gone to play Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo and more.

‘Nebula / Makes You Wonder’ is Jaytech’s first release of 2024. Jaytech flexes his prowess for uptempo trance production on ‘Nebula’, a track that originated from an online production workshop he ran with his fans in 2023. On ‘Make You Wonder’, listeners get a taste of the progressive and melodic side of his songwriting.

Acclaimed Austin (TX) based producer Qrion shares her first taster of new music since the release of her 2021 debut album, with her single ‘Miyanosawa’ - a multi-layered, emotional builder filled with twinkling chords and a rippling beat, portraying a story swathed in memories, nostalgia and inspiration. Named after a small town in Sapporo, Japan, where she is from, ‘Miyanosawa’ was the final stop in a daily journey for Qrion to get to high school.

“Miyanosawa is a song about memories and nostalgia, about moments of realisation and inspiration, and ultimately about seeing the light and saying goodbye to your past. It’s been ten years since I made that daily journey, during which time I’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs. I finally feel like I’m able to say goodbye to my past.” - Qrion

The single follows two performances in London this month, at Village Underground and MOTH Club as part of all female line-ups for International Women’s Day, raising money for The Girls’ Network.

Celebrating the legacy of one of dance music’s most timeless acts, Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa present ‘OceanLab: The Anthology’, an extensive digital compilation released on Anjunabeats.

OceanLab is the chart-hitting project of Above & Beyond (Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki) and singer-songwriter Justine Suissa. Fifteen years after the release of their critically acclaimed 2008 LP, ‘Sirens of the Sea,’ The Anthology spans the full spectrum of the OceanLab sound, from early 2000s vocal trance classics to brand new remixes and never-before-heard acoustic reworks.

Four beloved OceanLab tracks see new acoustic reworks on this compilation: 'Miracle', 'Satellite', 'Sirens of the Sea', and 'On A Good Day'. Acoustic versions of these records were first featured on Above & Beyond’s 2014 ‘Acoustic’ album and subsequent live tour, which saw the British dance group debut a groundbreaking concert series in which they adapted a selection of their famous dance records with a 15-piece band and live vocals. Ten years later, these acoustic reworks have been remastered and now feature vocals by Justine Suissa for the very first time.

Alongside the Anthology digital compilation, Anjunabeats has released a limited edition vinyl box set. Housed in a premium-quality fabric-wrapped double slipcase with foil detailing, the box features four 12” single discs on crystal clear vinyl, a 10” ‘Another Chance’ single disc, and a special Anthology-edition repress of the original ‘Sirens of the Sea’ album. There is also an accompanying poster print, slipmat, and 28-page perfect-bound book containing notes from the band, never-before-seen photos, and exclusive sheet music arrangements with piano, guitar, and voice parts.

With a discography spanning over two decades - including top 20 UK single ‘Satellite’ (2004), two top 25 UK dance albums (‘Sirens of the Sea’ in 2008 and ‘Sirens of the Sea Remixed’ in 2009), and two top 10 UK dance singles (‘Clear Blue Water’ in 2003, and ‘Satellite’ in 2004) - OceanLab cemented themselves as a seminal dance act with an undeniably unique sound, where Justine Suissa’s compelling voice, lyrics and melodies take centre stage.

Above & Beyond's most recent single is their hit collaboration with Zoë Johnston, ‘Crazy Love’, an uplifting and ethereal trance record first debuted to 20,000 fans at the trio’s Group Therapy 500 celebration in Los Angeles in 2022. Electronic music is hard to define genre. At most of my shows around the world I've been asked the same question of "how I would define my musical genre" again and again. 

But I'm not a fan of putting things in labelled boxes. Of course, people use these boxes to not get lost in the incredible diversity of musical styles. But these "genres" are very limiting for those who listen and for those who share it with others. Mostly, they are one sided, inaccurate and misleading. 

My musical universe is not only downtempo-ish, emotional house but also melodic ethnic techno - and so much more. For me, a DJ-set is open to innovation, experimentation and change which creates the magic in the end. 

So there you go with one hour of listening to the "Vastness of the Universe" which refers to the variety of my musical universe. Much love to all of you and see you somewhere somewhen around the globe soon! <3

Alessandro Martire is a young Italian pianist and composer, born in Como in 1992. 


He studied piano and composition with the Italian Teacher M. Giusto Franco at the Music Academy in Genoa. 

In 2012 he acquired more experience studying new age composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and performing in the final concert at the David Friend Recital Hall.

He then graduated in International and Political Science at the University of Milan. 

His compositions are the expression of a musical sensibility which, originating from the classical tradition and contemporary elements, creates evocative and catchy melodies and harmonies. 
There is no definition for his music. 
You can call it New Age, classical crossover, contemporary, alternative and other such adjectives but in the end it always comes down to this: Alessandro Martire plays Alessandro Martire’s music.

His original music led him to perform in prestigious universities and theatres around the world. Through his music Alessandro connects in an intimate manner with his audience, tapping into their emotions, thoughts and dreams like an old friend.

In his career as pianist and composer, he performed in four international tours: 
The most notably:
 
• “Flames of Joy World Tour”, on the occasion of the release of his new album “Flames of Joy”,  which brought Alessandro to perform in only one month in 10 Countries, from Addis Abeba to Canberra, through Hong Kong, Dubai and Pretoria.
 
• “Flames of Joy World Tour 2.0 and 3.0”, respectively in 2017 and 2018. Along this tours, Alessandro performed in Japan, Russia, Poland  and  Vietnam with the Soul Academy Orchestra.
 
In 2017 Alessandro signed an important publishing agreement with Ultra International Music Publishing, an American worldwide music entity, and in 2019 with the Italian famous record company Carosello Records.

Alessandro Martire is also the composer of soundtracks for films, short films, theatre and commercials
