When there's nothing else left, there's music

I post random bits of music I have written and recorded throughout my life. Some are well recorded and well produced and other are snippets from phone recordings, either way I hope you enjoy them.

In short, Last Edition are the result of what happens when four friends come together and make infectiously happy music – the rest just falls into place.

Leicester’s “Ska Punk Party Brigade” Last Edition closed out another successful takeover. The band acknowledge that Download “isn’t notorious for an abundance of ska bands”, but this lively set was perfectly in sync with the party vibe of the Boardie Takeover. Inspired by the likes of Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and Madness, they pulled infectious tune after infectious tune out of the hat – including a Madness cover that drove the audience into a skanking frenzy. 

The slick professionalism of the performance was on a par with a band playing the main festival. The band seemed incredibly at home on the stage and euphorically happy to be playing, with a grin constantly plastered to saxophonist Sam’s face for the entire set. Last Edition proved a perfect choice to close the evening and pump up the excitement for the three days of music ahead. They will be touring the UK this July.

The Egos are a group of like minded friends and musicians, out to bring people together. Our message is simple, have fun, enjoy life and always have answers to authority.

Katy Pickles, young singer/songwriter from Lancaster North West England, brings 'deeply personal' originals with her voice and guitar.
