On several occasions, throughout various compositions of mine, I’ve emphasized how a melody or theme was based on something I wrote long ago, during my teenage years.
In this instance, the main theme is probably one of the very first things I ever composed—likely my first 'Eureka' moment, when I first gained some clarity about my musical gifts. Needless to say, this melody holds immense personal significance.
After all this time, I’ve finally decided to properly honor it by writing a set of variations.

As a label that’s been growing for just over five years now, there are certain artists who’ve shaped our journey long before we even knew we’d start one. DJ Caspa @tundecas41 is one of those djs. We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. And if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent all these years, it’s the sheer quality of what he delivers. But Caspa’s story runs even deeper. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more. For our fourteenth episode we have invited the young and talented @AngieAlfarez. Despite her young age, she has an incredible fine taste of proper techno. Enjoy Angie's journey!

Her passion for music began in childhood, having grown up in a family deeply rooted in sound production. She spent much of her time in her parents’ recording studio, where she developed a sharp ear for rhythms and textures.
At just 15, Angie started to experiment with Djing, eventually honing her skills across various subgenres of techno including raw, old school, minimal, hypnotic and Detroit Techno.

Her sound is mostly known as deep driving grooves, heavy basslines, and hypnotic energy that Captivates listeners from the underground.

She gained international attention in 2023 at the age of 16 where she finished 2nd at the Amnesia Ibiza Global DJ search, since then she has been performing across several clubs around Europe, known for her powerful and dynamic sets that blend classic techno roots with modern innovation.

One of her standout projects is her Friday techno radio show on beats2dance.com, every Friday from 20:00 to 21:00 CET, playing the latest techno from producers all over the world in a 1hour mix. It’s favorite among techno lovers streaming online, at SoundCloud, apple post casts with a 20k plus fanbase every week.

Through her creative energy, technical precision, and dedication to techno, Angie Alfarez continues to shape and elevate the genre’s landscape

Solstice

Born in Valencia - Venezuela on March 26th, 1986. Since his adolescence, he is interested in music awakening a great interest in it by listening to the mixes that were made in his town by several DJs in the area. He begins to make his first amateur mixes at his friends' house and discovers a great passion for music by touching the mixing desks of that time.

2007 was the year that Alex and his family decided to emigrate to the big city of Barcelona, Spain. It is there where he becomes a professional in music production. 
He begins to make his first productions experimenting with various musical genres such as house, tech house, and finally opting for techno. Listening to various artists such as Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, Ben Sims among others, helped him to inspire the sounds he currently produces.

Alex Berhm is currently based in France, a country where musical art is just around the corner. He debuts a new experience mixing in various venues in the city of Nantes. 
He experiments every day in the studio creating new dark, arpeggiated and hypnotic sounds at high Bpm, preferring the warm sound of analog in his recordings.
