Brother Bastion is a folk-punk singer-songwriter from Blackburn UK. Influenced by artists such as Woody Guthrie, The Pogues, Violent Femmes, Dead Kennedys and Motorhead, he sings songs based on observations from growing up and living in working class post-industrial Britain, as well as wider observations of society as a whole. 
  His stripped back, no-nonsense setup of acoustic guitar, bass-drum, harmonica and occasional looping provides a surprisingly full and primal backing to his searing vocal.
  As a live artist, he brings a presence and power that many 4 and 5 piece bands struggle to achieve. A seasoned performer on the festival circuit, Brother Bastion is guaranteed to raise eyebrows both live and on record.

Originally, back in the 90s, we created dance singles....we are NOT a dating club! We are simply very attached to the name of our beginnings!  Now, we've branched out into bespoke podcasts, tv and radio compositions and soundscapes. 

This is our digital library - where you can explore the quirky, professional & unique work of The Singles Club. We are based at the foot of Pendle Hill, in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire.
