It’s a family affair!! 
What you are holding in your hands is the first part of a new series on Connaisseur called “Alex Flitsch meets…” where label head Alex Flitsch teams up with various friends from the label family and its surroundings.

The inspiration for the first part was several trips to Barcelona, where Alex and the Audiofly boys, Ant and Luca spent time working on their music vision whilst enjoying a laugh and delicious food. The result is Alex first release since ages and will definitely bring the newly minted Cocoon Club-resident to another level of attention.

The two tracks are state of the art house and combine Alex long lasting DJ experience with the extraordinary studio skills of Audiofly. 
Long Way To Go is a peaktime-orientated monster of a house track. The idea was to reinterpret classic filter house sounds into modern form. 
Conversation is a real gem with its deep dubby groove and the strongly nineties influenced sound aesthetic. 
The release will be completed with a wonderful remix treatment for Long Way To Go by Romanian newcomer Ali Nasser. 

More cooperations with other well-known friends and members of the Connaisseur family are in pipeline, so better watch out!

BIO: 
Born in the city of Pforzheim in the 70ies, Alex Flitsch was the youngest son of a traditional jeweller family. No one would have thought, that he would one day be travelling the world as a DJ, packed with records, nor that he would be running any successful electronic dance labels! But, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Alex had always been a music fanatic, and when techno hit the scene in the early 90ies, there simply was no way back. 
Being a man of action by heart, it was clear that Alex couldn’t live the passive life of a simple music lover and consumer. “Do it yourself!” was and still is his motto. Being an enthusiastic collector of vinyl since the early nineties, he had his first DJ-gig in 1994. In 2005 he founded the well known Connaisseur Recordings label together with Martin Henkel and his wife Hilary in Frankfurt/Main, where he has settled after various stopovers in Wiesbaden, London and Miami. The musical direction of his endeavours is heavily influenced by his solid knowledge of 20 years of electronic music – a true connaisseur.
Several very successful releases on the label took Alex’s DJ career to another level. He has already rocked places like Tokyo (Unit), Mexico City (Rioma), Moscow (Propaganda), Amsterdam (Flexbar), Vienna (Flex), Zürich (Zukunft &amp; Q Club), Bucharest (Studio Martin), Offenbach (Robert Johnson) and of course Berlin (Watergate, Bar 25, Club der Visionäre etc.) just to name a few. Furthermore, he is a resident DJ at the Cocoon Club (Frankfurt) and the Romy S (Stuttgart). 
The next logical step for Alex was of course, to launch his own productions, which is why he started a series of collaborations called “Alex Flitsch meets...” in 2009. For the first round, he teamed up with the well known Audiofly guys, receiving a lot of applause. Right after, he met up with the prolific Mutant Clan aka Timo Maas &amp; Santos, with the result of this meeting coming out soon! Watch out – there’s lots more up the pipeline!
A good DJ needs knowledge, feeling, stamina and a high dose of enthusiasm.
