The band MEPHISTO was founded in September 1997 in the City of Holguín, Cuba becoming the first Black Metal band in Cuba.  

Fusing black metal chords indicative of the old school 90's with symphonic overtures and today's modern metal genres, Mephisto's music is unique as it is inspiring. 

Content to push social boundaries and forge ahead with their pioneering ways, Mephisto was the first band to appear on stage with costumes and make up designs mimicking the Nordic European metal genres. A move that provoked a great movement within the national scene. 



La banda MEPHISTO se fundó en Septiembre de 1997 en la ciudad de Holguín, convirtiéndose Cuba en la primera banda de Black Metal en Cuba.
Fusionando acordes de black metal indicativos de la vieja escuela de los años 90 con propuestas sinfónicas y los géneros de metal modernos de hoy en día, la música de Mephisto es única e inspiradora.
Contenido para empujar las fronteras sociales y seguir adelante con sus formas pioneras, Mephisto fue la primera banda en aparecer en el escenario con disfraces y maquillajes que imitan los géneros de metal de los países nórdicos europeos. Un movimiento que provocó un gran movimiento dentro de la escena nacional.
