"I loved Wes (Le Youth's) original and that super-hooky Mary J. Blige sample, so I stripped the instrumentation back a little bit and let that hook breathe on its own before going into some of my own production, which takes some of the glitchiness of the future stuff that's going on but adds some old school breaks and hip-hop rhythm to the groove. To me, the track feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, just like the original and just like my favorite old school remixes."

Hey everyone. Thanks so much for sticking around and supporting the tunes while things have been quiet the last couple months. Big things recently such as hitting 1000 followers here on soundcloud which couldn't be done without you guys. 
Been holding onto this mashup for awhile and wanted to save it for future live shows only, but it feels right to put this out now.
Love making these edits because they have a little bit of everything as they showcase a handful of artists and songs that people wouldn't expect to hear together.
Expect more of these in the future, but also more remixes as the COASTR. project starts to shape up into what it truly represents :)
