Always at the forefront with an active role in emerging stylistic nuances Century Media has truly shattered the barriers and exemplified diversity in extremes while remaining rooted in the underground but giving bands opportunities outside of the normal means with major league international touring, commercial radio play, and music placement in high-profile films, TV and commercials. Despite all of the years and breakthroughs the company maintains their organic, family feel and business is still being conducted by fans of the music for fans of the music.

Since 2012, DUCRU has been carefully piecing together the story of their musical career. Through their music, the composition of their lifelong friendship breathes a cohesive tone. The band dives through long delicate bridges before it hits an explosion of honest sounding rock music that has its own distinct character. DUCRU is on a mission to revive rock music from its dirty organic roots and bring it out of the commercial gutter that it’s been in for the past 20 odd years. 

In 2013 DUCRU released their first album “A Language Apart”, which was produced/mixed by The Mars Volta/At The Drive-In sound engineer, Matt Bittman. The album received rave reviews nationally across various press outlets and received national airplay on Internet and FM radio.  The band played at most of the venues in Baltimore as well as the Main Street Music Festival in 2014. 

“Around The Bend” is the band’s latest release (2015). It was tracked LIVE in Wright Way Studios of Baltimore, MD in the summer of 2014 and mixing/mastering was completed in spring of 2015. It bleeds interesting, twisted guitar tones and interwoven melodies that express the honesty that’s been missing from the Rock genre for quite some time. With less of a pop vibe than “A Language Apart”, the latest release from DUCRU is more mature and sophisticated. The band plans on touring extensively in support of it in fall of 2015.

After forming in June 2012, DUCRU spent a year writing and recording their debut EP, A Language Apart. The band paired the music that instinctively came to them as a group with months of pre-production to get the best sound in the studio. With help from producer/engineer Matt Bittman (The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In, Bosnian Rainbows), the band’s first release is heavy sounding, while also wrought with vibrant guitar tones and catchy hooks.
