Born with music in his veins, Alex Medina has been a key player in the electronic music scene since 1993. As a DJ, live act, producer, promoter, and label owner, he’s a powerhouse in the Iberian electronic community and beyond. His sets and productions don’t just make you move—they take you on a multi-sensory adventure.

**The DJ and Live Act Extraordinaire**
Behind the decks, Medina is a wizard. His sets are a thrilling blend of groovy, psychedelic, deep, and complex sounds. From house to techno, indie to electronica, he breaks all the rules and taps into multiple universes. Whether he's hosting radio shows like D-Votion or Planet Love, spinning at intimate clubs like around the world Watergate and Katerblau, or rocking festivals across continents, Medina crafts soundscapes that make you dance and expand your mind. And when he’s in the mood for some rare groove and disco, he transforms into Negro Hamaquero, sharing his love for jazz, funk, and soul.

Recently, Medina wrapped up a 7-week tour in Mexico, playing at iconic venues like Bar Americas. His global footprint includes Tel Aviv, Beirut, Dubai, Bakú,Marrakech, and major European cities.

Since the early 2000s, Medina has been a driving force behind the Canary Islands’ electronic music scene. He’s been at the helm of events like Guateque, Intro, and Splash, nurturing local talent and bringing international acclaim to the archipelago.

**Label Maestro**
In 2017, Medina launched Mumbai Records, one of the first record shops in the Canary Islands, showcasing his impeccable taste and A&R skills. The label is known for its seamless blend of electronic and organic sounds, offering mature audiences fresh and daring electronica.

**Hit Maker**
Medina has released tracks on top labels like Innervisions, Diynamic, Tau, Watergate, Sum Over Histories,Moblack and more. His productions are a blend of hypnotic depth and emotional resonance, earning him praise from industry heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Âme, Pete Tong, Solomun, and Richie Hawtin. His track "Golden Teacher" on Innervisions topped the Beatport Indie/Future Classics Chart for weeks, solidifying his place in the electronic music pantheon.

Medina’s creativity knows no bounds. As half of Tropical Barba, he explores ambient-pop-electronica. In Nectar, he delves into dub electronica with singer Viltown. He’s been exploring the different forms of cultural expression through rhythms, dance and theatre and integrating them into his sets. When Cabana gets on stage he will take you on an adventure, sharing with you the love he’s collected along the way.
Passion is the driving force behind everything Cabana does, and it has allowed him to prioritize quality at every step. He’s inspired by artists such as Adam Port, Palms Trax and CC:Disco! for their ability to mesmerize a crowd.
