Photic Fields´ next release comes from another (Italy born) Irishman, Lerosa, who's known for an impressive series of releases over the years.  Where many producers seems to do, Lerosa doesn’t follow any blueprint for his productions, he's always exploring the edges of house, techno and electro to create something new. This release is no exception to that. With this record he also explores the emotive side of things, in a rough edged and analogue way. The EP is related to an artwork made by his girlfriend named ‘Woman Flew Home’, in such a way, that he named the record after it: a deeply personal and meaningful project.  The record starts off with ‘some things endure’, an introspective piece with a deep and dark synth pad. ‘Nebula raider’ breaks open the record with its euphoric feel and acid hints.  On the b-side you’ll find two joyful cuts: the uplifting 'dream of flight', and the closing track of the record, 'postmodern', with its playful keys and emotive synth tones.

After some great records on Lunar Disko, Ireland’s Automatic Tasty now arrives with ‘The Joys Of Departure’ on Photic Fields. With this piece the label continues its way to put out deep emotion-drenched electronic music.  Inspired by his beloved nature near his hometown, especially the Sugar Loaf, Tasty produced these introspective tracks. Pure analogue works, with beautiful chords and melodies. Although his influences are noticeable, AT has developed a sound that is completely his own, giving no attention to trends, ever-copying artists or useless genre-indications. This is not a man from the big city, but from some quiet place in Eastern Ireland. This EP includes four recent works by AT, and shows the variety of his productions. Recommended for Aphex Twin-fans, and even though that category is already pretty large, it's in fact recommended for everyone who likes their music melancholic yet uplifting.

Ultraísta Remixes compiles a year's worth of remixes from friends and collaborators within the ever-expanding Ultraísta orbit. Though some of these tracks have become breakout singles in their own right – collectively clocking more than two million plays on the band's Soundcloud and YouTube channels – Ultraísta Remixes has been perfectly sequenced to succeed as a stand-alone album (an alarmingly strong one, no less). Rarely do remix albums have this level of quality control and seemingly infinite replay value. Whereas Ultraísta's debut album commits to its palette with uncanny precision and devotion, Remixes explodes its individual parts and reveals the group to be equally compelling as techno powerhouse (Four Tet, FaltyDL, DC Sux), dark electro-pop (Zero 7, Zammuto, ERAAS, Canon Blue), experimental dance (Prefuse 73, Matthew Herbert), and even driving industrial rock (David Lynch in an inspired NIN-meets-YYYs turn). As we further explore shapes of deep and emotive electronic music, Photic Fields proudly presents the return of Leonid. This anonymous producer only appeared a couple of times in the last 5 years on Sistrum and Statik Recordings, such a commitment to a ‘quality over quantity’ approach is pretty unique and remarkable. Despite this low output, his well-considered and delightfully crafted works are greatly appreciated and have impressed quite some folks. This record features 3 new tracks by Leonid, which all pushes down into the depths of 'soulful' house and techno music. Each of them does this in its own way but they’ve got one thing in common: they are all overloaded with warmth and emotions. Pure and calm deepness, which is soothing for our restless minds.
