Wilkinson has recently announced the release of his eagerly anticipated debut album Lazers Not Included on 21st October 2013 via RAM records. Wilkinson, has been on unstoppable form since the huge Radio 1 playlisted ‘Need To Know’ and most recent single ‘Heartbeat’ featuring Arlissa and P Money, which firmly established him as one of the UK’s hottest producers and DJs. Lazers Not Included will be sure to stamp Wilkinson’s name in the faces of a worldwide audience. Wilkinson’s debut introduces a new raft of stand-out singles including the summer anthem ‘Heartbeat’ with Arlissa & P Money and brand new single ‘Afterglow’, a soulful and spine-tingling track, stuffed with trademark booming bass.

Blessed with an astute A&R ear, Wilkinson has enlisted some of the freshest UK vocal talent to appear on his debut. Blake Robin aka LUXXURY aka Baron von Luxxury has been making waves in the DJ/producer disco community over the past two years with his controversial edits. He was personally selected by Duran Duran's bassist and co-founder John Taylor to cover "Planet Earth". His "Hotel California" edit was a runaway smash, instantly attracting nearly 300,000+ Soundcloud listens and a great deal of press including a front page piece with the Wall Street Journal. “Hotel California” was later taken down everywhere due to a major internet kerfuffle, which served only to boost Luxxury's profile and add to his mystique. He received immediate support from Greg Wilson, Psychemagik, Ursula 1000, Junior Sanchez, Goldroom and hundreds more.

Today, LUXXURY shares his new single “Take It Slow” which is available now and will be released as part of the Hold On / Take It Slow single package on March 4 via Deep&Disco. The new songs are heavily steeped in classic West Coast sunshine and vintage disco vibes. Along with keyboardist/collaborator Billy Caruso (Laco$te, Corridor) the new Luxxury sound doubles down on '78 California: all shimmering Rhodes, dusty anti-EDM disco beats and funky bass lines peppered with blue eyed falsetto vocals provided by Robin himself.

LUXXURY - Take It Slow

I was lucky enough to spend 10 days at the wonderful Mareh festival in Bahia, Brasil over New Year. It was an amazing time spent with old friends, new friends and in my opinion some of the best DJs around. 

The festival is set in Boipeba in Bahia and the parties are thrown on boats, beaches and in the jungle by the Mareh posse who really know how to make a party tick. In my opinion it is one of the best festivals you will ever come across.

This mix is inspired by those people, those times and the music I played and heard while on the Island.
