FIP Invasion - Live (Part 1)

On all of my DJ sets I always have one or two songs that are my absolute favorites from the bunch;  the songs that I listen to on repeat, over and over and over again.  Well...almost unbelievably...there are about 6 or 7 of those songs on this new Morning set.  These are songs that would have a legitimate shot at my "record of the year" title.  Sometimes...luck, fate and circumstances deliver me the opportunity to deliver one of the very, very, VERY special sets of music that stands out amongst all of them...and that is what has happened with this set.  Regarding the actual music...you might could say this is a tale of two mixes.  The first half is full of emotional deep house ballads and anthems that yank at one's heartstrings and send emotions soaring.  The second half bounds into powerful progressive house anthems, some with vocals, some so powerful that no vocals are needed.  All pieced together...I believe that it's one of my best compositions in a long long time.  I dearly hope you'll agree.  As I always say...from my HEART...to your ears.  Enjoy!

Blood and Bone is a reckoning set to rhythm—an album built where the body meets myth, where memory scrapes against metal, and survival grows teeth. Its sonic palette threads drum-machine pulse through dust-bitten guitars, twang through circuitry, and flamenco flicker through industrial grit. Every track lives in the tension between ruin and insistence, between a world that shakes with fire, violence, wind, and destiny, and a narrator who keeps stepping forward anyway. The project treats rhythm not as a backdrop but as a heartbeat you can almost hear splitting, mending, and refusing collapse.

Across this landscape, the human form is battered, unmasked, hunted, resurrected, and set ablaze—but never surrendered. The music leans into acoustic grain, the sweat-salt of live strings, the grit of surf twang and outlaw twine, yet plants those textures in a scaffold of relentless electronic precision. What emerges is a bruised hymn to endurance: techno carved out of earth, alt-country scorched into myth, psychobilly swagger sharpened by war and weather. Blood and Bone doesn’t seek redemption so much as it chronicles the cost of staying alive when the elements, the mountains, the inner voices, and the gods all stare back—and demand a response.

Alex Taylor has built a huge reputation.

San Francisco, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, Macau, Manila, Bali, & Bangkok and annually spends the summer season on the island-clubbing destination of Ibiza, DJ’ing for “We Love Space Sundays” at the world-renowned super-club Space, playing alongside the world’s top name DJ’s.

As far as awards go, Taylor has earned many. He was named best DJ at the Sydney DIVA awards so many times (five) that he eventually pleaded for people to vote for someone else. Also appearing in the inaugural Nationwide Inthemix Top 50 Australian DJ’s several times #19, #18, #27, #35.

He has supported and headlined with almost every major DJ; names such as, Miguel Migs, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Satoshie Tomiie, The Freemasons, Mark Doyle, Sasha, John Digweed, Jon Sa Trinxa, Sandy Rivera, Paul Oakenfold, Frankie Knuckles, Tom Novy, DJ Sneak, Smokin’ Jo, Ben Watt, Laurent Garnier, Kaskade, Masters At Work, Chris Lake, Groove Armada, Miss Kitten, Hernan Cattaneo, Seamus Haji, Victor Calderone 2Many DJs, Funkagenda and many more. 

With over ten commercially released mix CDs to his name, for labels such as PACHA, Ministry Of Sound, Sony, Vinyl Pusher + more, Alex also spends time in the studio under the moniker Taylor Square, and has remixed artists such as Australia’s dance diva Zoe Badwi, soul legend Jocelyn Brown, the chart smashing Inaya Day, deep house darlings Crazy P, chill-out master Hi Fi Mike, Australian Idol’s Cosima De Vito and trance duo Blank & Jones. All of which have charted in the ARIA, (Australian Recording Industry Association) club chart top 20.
