On all of my DJ sets I always have one or two songs that are my absolute favorites from the bunch;  the songs that I listen to on repeat, over and over and over again.  Well...almost unbelievably...there are about 6 or 7 of those songs on this new Morning set.  These are songs that would have a legitimate shot at my "record of the year" title.  Sometimes...luck, fate and circumstances deliver me the opportunity to deliver one of the very, very, VERY special sets of music that stands out amongst all of them...and that is what has happened with this set.  Regarding the actual music...you might could say this is a tale of two mixes.  The first half is full of emotional deep house ballads and anthems that yank at one's heartstrings and send emotions soaring.  The second half bounds into powerful progressive house anthems, some with vocals, some so powerful that no vocals are needed.  All pieced together...I believe that it's one of my best compositions in a long long time.  I dearly hope you'll agree.  As I always say...from my HEART...to your ears.  Enjoy!

I've been stockpiling so much amazing music here lately that it was really difficult trying to zero in on what sound this podcast was going to have. What I did know what that there were three songs that HAD to be on this mix: "Keep Moving" by Boxer Rebellion, "Daydreams" by ARTY, and "Everytime" by Lustral. The Lustral straddles the line between progressive house and trance so I decided to start the mix with a chill-house vibe and then subtly build until the set crescendos at the end with the Lustral. Sophisticated Morning 69

It's a fine line that I walk as it pertains to keeping the sound of the various podcasts that I release constant and steady, especially with the Sophisticated Deep series.  It's so important that I keep the sound tightly confined within the genre that the series belongs but equally important that I present enough diversity that the mixes don't become stale or all sound alike.  That brings us to Sophisticated Deep 14.  This one presented me a (happily accepted) challenge in keeping the sound consistent from beginning to end because of how unique the song selections are.  I think I succeeded and hope that you'll agree.  These songs are as unique as you'll hear; sounds that are blues-y and twangy at times and exotic and Middle-Eastern sounding at others.  I believe that the end result is a rich and nuanced musical smorgasbord.  This is a sound that is versatile;  perfect for dancing into the wee hours of the morning or as the background music to your daily routine.  You pick. He has supported and headlined with almost every major DJ; names such as, Miguel Migs, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Satoshie Tomiie, The Freemasons, Mark Doyle, Sasha, John Digweed, Jon Sa Trinxa, Sandy Rivera, Paul Oakenfold, Frankie Knuckles, Tom Novy, DJ Sneak, Smokin’ Jo, Ben Watt, Laurent Garnier, Kaskade, Masters At Work, Chris Lake, Groove Armada, Miss Kitten, Hernan Cattaneo, Seamus Haji, Victor Calderone 2Many DJs, Funkagenda and many more.
