Having played his part in defining West London’s Broken Beat scene, producing and engineering many seminal tracks in the genre, London born Daz relocated to Atlanta, absorbing the local music scene and working with some of the many talents available to him. The influence of the two cities are reflected in this double vinyl release, fusing London’s sound system aesthetic with Atlanta’s rich heritage in soul, funk and disco.

“Standing On The Wall” features an incredible array of vocalists and musicians including Vanessa Freeman, Monica Blaire, Joy Jones, Grant Green Jr. and the legendary Leroy Burgess, channelling the spirit of the late 70’s and early 80’s sounds of Unlimited Touch, Rod Temperton, Roy Ayers and Cameo for a new generation.

Born and raised in Japan and now residing in Boston, Saucy brings a couple of smoky grooves destined to be late-night floor-fillers. The A side’s vocals float over a spacy organ groove while the B side features pleas for help over a funky guitar riff and warm analog pads. If you liked E. Live and Sally Green’s Be Free, you’ll love both sides of this one.
