Giulio aka Knuckle G, est un Parisien qui a commencé la musique très tôt. A 8 ans il s'est initié à la batterie puis c'est de plus en plus tourné vers la musique assisté par ordinateur. C'est alors , qu'armé d'un clavier en guise de controller, de son logiciel et inspiré par de très nombreux genre comme le disco, la french-touch, l'electro, et la funk, il a commencé, à l'age de 15 ans, à composé des musiques qui essaye de les rallier.

This mix was originally posted last year on Clash Magazine as part of their podcast series.  A mix for celebrating fun in da sun.  

Here's my description on Clash from fall 2012 :
This mix is a soundtrack to your Indian summer, if you’re having one right now, or a mix for those people that are in need of a lil’ sunshine. It’s a very summery/sunny mix to bring you out of your fall funk. Lots of juke/footwork and a lil’ jungle thrown in for good measure. There’s some jokes in there too. I went for the more soulful style of footwork instead of the colder minimal tunes meant more for the dancefloor. I played this exact set at the XLR8R boat party at Dimensions festival in Croatia this summer.

Machinedrum - Sunshine Mix

It is now almost 9 years ago that I met Massimiliano Pagliara.

We met shortly after Panorama Bar opened in 2004 and this mix has been recorded at Massi's house around X-Mas 2004. 

That's about a week after Berghain opened as well and we both were probably totally blown away by the soundsystem in there, something we have never experienced before. 

I took a 3rd turntable to Massi's house (I own only 1, seriously!) and also a Kaosspad 2 (not 100% sure if it is used heavily or not on this mix).

I didn't remember that I actually recorded a mix, but after our Panorama Bar (& also Berghain) debut last Sunday as "??? - Drei Fragezeichen", we had a little resumé at Massi's house after and Massi put it on.

Still works and brings back some key moments of the time.

It is something that needs to be shared, I think.

ACIDTEST #1 in 2004

Shortly after the "Acidtest no.1" was recorded, I had another session at Massimiliano's house. 

It was just before Christmas and we were a bunch of people coming from Panorama Bar on a Sunday evening after I had an extra gig there that wasn't announced on the flyer (I just checked ;) ).

Sunday evening doesn't mean night time, as Panorama Bar used to close WAY earlier than nowadays. It was around 6pm in the evening... Those were the times!

The session, which feels like a radio play at points, became some kind of classic with the people I shared it with and, since it was just before Christmas, I put some effort in making those CDs look really nice :)
