About this journey:
I often create my sonic storytelling with a title and intention that I hold through the journey of its birth into the world. This one was different, it began without a title – just a feeling into the frequency of Cosmovision Records. But a title did arrive – midway through recording as I felt my body and all of my being become the wind. This journey, this story, invokes the wind that we are. Air. Weightless. Strong. Beneath the celestial glow of a full moon eclipse, the Bali Spirit Fest comes alive with a pulsating rhythm that electrifies the night. Dancers from all corners of the earth converge in a colorful display of culture and movement, their bodies merging and swaying like the ebb and flow of the tide. A mystical experience that transcends time and space, the Bali Spirit Fest is a celebration of life, love, and unity.

This weekend at Ecstatic Dance Lab Connectival was all about diving deep into the different qualities that Ecstatic Dance has to offer. Every day was dedicated to another sequence of Ecstatic Dance - this set I played on Thursday evening; this day was all about landing, connecting with myself, arriving in the space, grounding, feeling the earth. As you can hear, my set is not all about these qualities - but it was created with the focus on them specifically.
