It is summer. The sun reflects off the water and shallow waves slowly break on the sandy shore. But suddenly the perception changes. The sound of the swell becomes increasingly rhythmic, and one gently recognizes the sound of a deep and melancholy melody. The light begins to dance on the surface of the sea and the whole scene is transformed into a picturesque view of bright colors paired with warm feelings.

Our loyal companion Lui Mafuta is responsible for this beautiful journey. The whole EP turned out to be a wonderful trip, refined with the help of Daniel Hokum, Niju and Tlazhotla. A big thank you goes out to all the musicians, our artwork hero Kilian Van De Water and Haunted Water for the lovely mastering.

Vysotski: Even though his (very few) records were published by the state-owned Melodija label, Vysotski was an extremely uncomfortable poet and singer for the state. In his songs, he also sang about topics that did not officially exist in the Soviet Union: prostitution, crime, anti-Semitism. He is still a household name in Russia and the other former Soviet republics, where he is considered the greatest songwriter of the 20th century.

Since most of his songs were not published by the official side due to their liberal and critical content, tape recordings of his concerts were distributed on the samizdat principle and circulated millions of times throughout the country. Vysotsky earned his living by means of his engagements in the Taganka Theater and in the films in which he was allowed to act after all, despite the resistance of the authorities.

ABOUT THE VA:
The Skanda Purana (IAST: Skanda Purāṇa) is the largest Mukyapurana, a genre of eighteen Hindu religious texts. The text contains over 81,000 verses, and is of Kaumara literature, titled after Skanda, a son of Shiva and Parvati, who is also known as Murugan. While the text is named after Skanda, he does not feature either more or less prominently in this text than in other Shiva-related Puranas. The text has been an important historical record and influence on the Hindu traditions related to the war-god Skanda.

The earliest text titled Skanda Purana likely existed by the 8th century CE, but the Skanda Purana that has survived into the modern era exists in many versions. It is considered as a living text, which has been widely edited, over many centuries, creating numerous variants. The common elements in the variant editions encyclopedically cover cosmogony, mythology, genealogy, dharma, festivals, gemology, temples, geography, discussion of virtues and evil, of theology and of the nature and qualities of Shiva as the Absolute and the source of true knowledge.
The editions of Skandapurana text also provide an encyclopedic travel handbook with meticulous Tirtha Mahatmya (pilgrimage tourist guides), containing geographical locations of pilgrimage centers in India, Nepal and Tibet, with related legends, parables, hymns and stories.

Introducing "Desert" by @slow_child: an odyssey that transports you to the mystical expanse of the desert, where each track is a sonic embodiment of its varied qualities. The calm and warm quality of an oasis with water and dates, a safe have in the middle of nowhere, represented by the first track: „Dreamer". Then also the light, adventuress feeling, when you're on a camel, traveling through the desert, the wind in your hair and a soft breeze of warm sand on your face, represented by the second track: „Wind". The desert welcomes you with a harsh and dark dimension. After a few days the traveler faces this unforgiving place on earth, with no water and the first voices in his mind. This dimension of the desert is represented by: „Welcome to the Desert". In the end the traveler faces a night in the desert. Dark and melancholic emotions, the joy of a colder surrounding, represented by „Joy". The Remix of "Joy" by Faber can be considered as the reflection of the journey. Crafted amidst the vibrant city of Leipzig, "Desert" is a testament to the artist's exploration of sound, seamlessly weaving between softness and darkness. After contributing a remix to the first EP of his buddy AVEM on Heimlich Musik, Basel based wunderkind Arutani releases three original Tracks with remixes by GYRL and Dolph as the third EP on the Viennese imprint. The melody of the title track “Pendulum“ rises as a climax from playful percussions wandering around the beat construct. By adopting the main theme and adding energetic drums, Dolph transforms the dreamy original mix into a club tool for later (or early morning) hours. „Dorian“ comes along with an acid-line as a driving element carrying away trippy vocals and breaky beats resulting in melancholic synth pads. Slowmotion-heroes GYRL from Leipzig used their unique mighty drumming to make it clear from the first moment on that you are listening to one of their remixes. Combined with selected elements from the original the result is an absolute banger that makes every sound system happy. „Kids from the past“ appears as an homage to earlier days using disco-influenced pads as a reference to the 80s. Although one has not heard Arutani giving his track a disco-touch very often, the unique sound-design reflects Arutani’s current work and provides this track with a modern touch to serve as the grand final of the EP.

For centuries humans and animals alike have been wondering, what is going on up on that silver ball in the sky, that is appearing during night time (and sometimes also when it's bright). There have been countless myths around the moon – some are funny, some are weird, but we finally discovered what has really been happening all this time:

There is a rave going on, and might we say, it's a pretty slow one for that matter. We also sent a mission up there, to confirm our findings and pump some fresh tunes in the grey desert.

Manned by Suisse based AVEM and Mawa from the LOKD brigade, our rocket ship set out for earth's little sibling. Just like Voyager in its day they packed a variety of earths finest sounds whipped up into an interstellar EP that features four spacious but heartfelt songs and three reinterpretations, thought of by some of our finest friends: DAENGER, Gun!lla and JOIA.

You wanted to go with them?
Well, gladly there's this little Taxi here, that makes the travel at least once a day, but if you slide the sloth behind the wheel some of your space cash, we're sure he'll give you a ride.

AVEM + Mawa — Moon

The Magic Movement welcomes producer and artist Janosh Marek aka Wilde See to the team! On his new “Typhon” EP he creates a rich tableau, ranging from Downtempo and Jazz to Melodic Techno and Deep House. Or as he calls it: Space Music! The EP casts off with an edit of “Nock” by label head-honcho Noema. This extraordinary composition fascinates by intertwining orchestral passages and strong percussive downbeat sections to a sophisticated floorfiller. Epic bassline alert!
The next destination on our cruise is “Typhon” which combines traditional Jazz vibes with contemporary Deep House elements. While in the first section a Rhodes piano and natural sounding drum set are having a jam, the second part surprises with a fresh House groove and a syncopated techy bassline.
On the Flipside we find ourselves gone interstellar with “Orlopdeck” in a Noema edit, a bold dancefloor bomb composed of minimal beats and ultra hypnotic polyrhythmic synths. Together with its minimal drums, modern melody work, and eccentric Dub elements this unique Sci-Fi gem is a class of its own.
With his remix of “Typhon” Arutani takes the spaceship back to a sunset on the open sea. On this playful and emotive journey, dubby synth lines sway in the wind while lush arpeggios make you dream of far away places.
