LAUT is Barcelona's favorite club for many. Its program offering, intimacy and excellent sound quality, attract every weekend a community of electronic music lovers. The perfect setting for a TILECT event. 

That 10th of April 2022,  the club was soldout at 1:30am. The atmosphere, loaded with positive vibrations, is difficult to put into words...

Alex Lauks @ SubRadio Bcn x TILECT / 25.11.22

In Macarena Club, Barcelona, Sundays are run by @anika-kunst with her Selectors event. Last October, I was extremely lucky to share a night to remember with @vanitydust and @rope_rope . At the end me and Vanity did the closing together and, luckily, it was recorded. A few months later, we have listened to it again and we wanted to share with you as an exciting memory of that night. Thanks a lot for playing, hope you enjoy it!

Alex Lauks B2B Vanity Dust @ Selectors - Macarena Club

This time, Alex Lauks from Barcelona presents a mix between new music from 2023 and old tracks, leaving aside what he usually plays on the dancefloor. Enjoy an hour of mental music, with an outstanding musical selection that wrapping itself into a coherent narrative. Alex is a producer and also part of the Tilect collective, an innovator in the Spanish scene.

Communion #082 - Alex Lauks

Very happy to be able to share the set I played on BCN's Red58 for the first EXTRAMOSTRA of the year organized by @mostrabcn It was a set designed for warm up, but little by little the room filled up until it was practically complete, so I had to adapt to the circumstances and raise and lower the intensity to make the audience enter the trance of the night. I really enjoyed playing it and I hope you can enjoy it by reliving it or listening to it for the first time.

Alex Lauks (@alex_lauks_ofc) is Alejandro Camps, a computer engineer from Barcelona who has long used music as a means of expression beyond coding. With a deep background in hip hop, reggae, disco, and rumba, he started by playing various instruments when he was young before discovering electronic music and switching to the DJ & producing world. As a technology, arts, and animals enthusiast, Alex engages in creative coding and generative art while searching for his sound in production. His DJ sets are tailored to each occasion, whether it's a warm-up, closing set, or podcast, selecting tracks that take listeners on meticulously crafted musical journeys, often showcasing his vinyl collection. Alex runs Tilect (@tilect), a collective that has recently contributed to the Barcelona electronic music scene through various events. He has collaborated with local projects like Mostra and performed at notable venues such as Laut and Red58.

Set performed at Primasera Rave 2019. Wanted to keep the rhythm up cause my set was at 4AM. Starting with some up & downs, I tried to keep people dancing until the end. Special bonus track at the end, courtesy of Dave Clarke with his remix on Depeche Mode's 'Dream On' track. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Warm up created to add a more melodic and calm touch to my repertoire of sets. My idea was to create a progression from a very atmospheric line and with marked but slow rhythms, towards a more acid and straight line, to be able to enter with the tracks and the tempo with which I really feel at ease. I hope you enjoy it :D

These days are being hard for many people. We go through many moods according to the news that comes to us without knowing when they are fake, the videos that we constantly watch, the conversations that we always have remotely, and above all, for how long we spend locked up. Motivation, fun, anger, sadness, despair, confrontation, confidence ... If we are able to find inspiration to feed creativity good things will come out

This time I wanted to start the podcast more aggressive than the last one, with the Modernist Descendents track by Selección Natural as the zenith, and then giving way to a more mental mood that defines the closing, with a couple of breakbeats at the end to attract attention.
