The mystery around the producer/producers known as the Yum Yum Club continues to flourish with a debut E.P. on Sprechen which promises 'Music For The Rave'. Following the track record of a cracking remix for Paper Recordings and the pretty amazing 'An Acid Love Feel Track' which featured Maria Uzor on Sprechen, this first outing is packing excessive 3am  murky basement slammers with a ton of groove & energy that reaches peak face chewing scenes!

Trippy Vocal Track delivers exactly that, a warped up twisted vocal sample wrapped around a twanging style bass with equally as twanging synth stabs alongside fully jacked up percussion & hits that never drops below full throttle!
Equal parts hypnotic - slamming & yes, trippy.

Piano Rave Track does exactly what it says on the rave tin. An absolute HUGE piano sample that's been dug up from warehouse raves of the past that surfs a monsterous bass line complete with hardcore MC asking 'do you understand!?', yes we do indeed...its time to rave!

Closing off the hat trick party is the addition of An Acid Love Feel Track which features Mariz Uzor on vocals. Originally released as part of the Edgy Future Discotheque Vol.3 compilation the track picked up some serious rotation on Radio 1 by Jaguar Worldwide and was hand picked by Jodie Harsh as her Radio 1 'Dance floor Moment'.

There's one thing I know that develops any skill set, and that is practice.  And practice, practice, practice, I am doing.  The hours fly by as I am totally fascinated by thw new skill of DJ'ing that I am learning.  School started this week and we have a Skill Assessment opportunity, and though until six weeks ago, I didn't even know what a controller was, I am sharing to date what I have learned to do with it.

Believe it or not, this short mix took me about 12 hours to create, and its still anything from mistake free.  Its still sprinkled here and there with missed drops, too quick a fade out, a boisterous drop in....oh my stars, the moments of arms in the air exuding delight, and head in my hands in total despair, were many.  But today, in this moment, this is where I am at, and I am learning not to be apologetic about being at the start of something new.

So in embracing the process of this course which encourages sharing all that we create and this assignment (seven songs with a clear beginning, middle, and end that shape an arc), but also as part of my path of personal expansion that perfect isn't the point, progress is, I bring you 'Jumping In' and my second set. In just a few years, Josh Butler has firmly established himself as one of house music's most revered talents. 2016 saw the launch of his label Origins, with Josh welcoming the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Todd Terry, Robert Owens and Santé to the imprint since, scoring his second Beatport #1 through his and Bontan’s stand out ‘Call You Back’ in early 2017. Add to the equation EPs on Kaoz Theory, Rejected and Defected, collaborations with Kerri Chandler and Darius Syrossian, and remixes for industry heavyweights Carl Cox and Joris Voorn, and it’s clear to see that Josh Butler is only just getting started. No wonder that Nick Curly and Gorge are very proud about his debut EP on their 8bit Records imprint.
