Following our single of 2023 with 2 tracks and a bonus 3rd track (added a few months later) under the title of "Trois versions d'une histoire" (https://soundcloud.com/alexander-mihailov-96713983/sets/trois-versions-dune-histoire), we - Dan or DAN-DT (@Dan-T-3), Patrick or DjArtw2001 (@djartw2007) and I - are now happy to release here on SoundCloud - exclusively and free - our 1st album, "Against the Clock" (2024).

The album contains 9 tracks, ordered in an approximately chronological - and also conceptual - sequence. The duration of the album is 1 hour and 33 minutes. It was composed over the past several years by each of us and, then, Patrick/DjArtw2001 remixed these individual compositions and recorded them together as collaborative tracks (in MAGIX) over the first half of 2024, more precisely, between 18 December 2023 (the opening track No. 1) and 21 May 2024 (the track under No. 7). The album was released on SoundCloud today, 13 October 2024 (together with / right after its closing track No. 9). We sincerely thank the vocalists who have taken part in some of the individual tracks, where we have provided due acknowledgement and information as well as links to their own work.

The artwork cover for the album (as well as for the eponymous track No. 6 in it) uses an image created by DAN-DT on 25 April 2024 and then embedded in a frame in PowerPoint and annotated in Mac OS Preview by Alex M on 16 May 2024 - in coordination and agreement with DjArtw2001 and DAN-DT.

Like the previous three, it was Patrick or DjArtw2001 (@djartw2007) who took the initiative and mixed in MAGIX on 18 December 2023 a part composed by Dan or DAN-DT (@Dan-T-3), originally back in 2014 under the title of "Hold on Now", with a part composed by Alex M in 2022, and originally included in a collaboration under the title of "Ictus" (https://soundcloud.com/alexander-mihailov-96713983/ictus-roberto-b-alex-m) that appeared on SoundCloud on 16 October 2022, and parts, effects, arrangements and transitions composed and mixed by DjArtw2001 recently. We are particularly grateful for the amazing vocals in Dan's' part (and original track of 2014) by Emily Richards (Madame Snowflake), who can be found on ccMixter: ccmixter.org/people/snowflake/profile. Our trio is delighted to release here - only on SoundCloud - a 5th collaboration, "Survivor". Patrick or DjArtw2001 (@djartw2007) took the initiative and mixed in MAGIX on 28-29 February 2024 a part composed by Dan or DAN-DT (@Dan-T-3), originally back in 2016 under the title of "Surviving Wonderland" and with the participation of Cat LeBlanc (https://soundcloud.com/catleblanc) and Paul or unreal_dm (https://ccmixter.org/people/unreal_dm/profile or http://unreal.re-mix.me.uk/), with a part composed by Alex M in 2021, and originally included in a collaboration under the title of "Le naufrage" (https://soundcloud.com/alexander-mihailov-96713983/le-naufrage-roberto-b-alex-m) that appeared on SoundCloud on 11 December 2021, and part of his own composition of 2010 "Story IX", adding effects, arrangements and transitions. Produced by Hugo & Luigi and arranged and conducted by René Hall, the song was the B-side to "Shake".

The song was inspired by various events in Cooke's life, most prominently when he and his entourage were turned away from a whites-only motel in Louisiana. I have always admired music, of diverse styles. Like most of us, I have tried learning to play a few instruments at a basic level in my teenage. But it is only now, in the 21st century, that modern software allows anyone to fool around being the composer, the designer of a whole composition, simpler or more complex, organising together the parts of the various instruments - and to hear the results of this experimentation or inspiration instantly! That is how I have recently begun enjoying the distraction of attempts at composing during my leisure, discovering an amazing dimension of life, and art, perhaps the most intangible, heightening and hypnotising one, and the closest to the soul...
