After more than 6 years on SoundCloud now, with 239 tracks behind me (of which about half composed, arranged, mixed and recorded in collaboration) that were released in 14 SC solo concept albums and 10 SC collaborative concept albums (one of them, in fact, a single) - all available for free here, in the Albums section - and with 1924 SC followers as I am writing, I would consider myself experienced enough to start selecting beautiful music from my SC favourites in occasional playlists of about 10-15 tracks (or some hour of play time). Here is the 1st one, of today, 30 January 2023: I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Many more inspired compositions or songs by many more favourite SC artists in various genres will, of course, be appearing, as the next playlists will be gradually added. This new initiative of mine also comes after - and celebrates - 62,990 listens, 10,010 likes, 4,603 reposts and 6,137 comments to my SoundCloud tracks.

The cover photo for this playlist 1 (a snowless - but foggy and frosty - winter sunset) was taken by me during an afternoon of walking with a group on 21 January 2023 in the fields and forests around the English town of Reading, where I have been living and working since 2006.

Composition started in July 2021.

Finished and edited in November 2022.

Last composition using KV331 and Synthmaster One, months before they deactivated the inter App function that I use on my ipad to use sounds.

It is fragmented into an intro, then a piano fragment to move on to another electronic symphonic section and end in an orchestral section.

It is one of my most complex music for which I have used:

30 tracks from Music Studio 2 with native and Xewton forum instruments.

2 tracks from Korg iM1

1 Prophet track (Arturia)

7 Synthmaster One Tracks

1 Track of Digital D1.

Made exclusively on ipad.

Mix in my car....perfectly parked.

I have always admired music, of diverse styles. Like most of us, I have tried learning to play a few instruments at a basic level in my teenage. But it is only now, in the 21st century, that modern software allows anyone to fool around being the composer, the designer of a whole composition, simpler or more complex, organising together the parts of the various instruments - and to hear the results of this experimentation or inspiration instantly! That is how I have recently begun enjoying the distraction of attempts at composing during my leisure, discovering an amazing dimension of life, and art, perhaps the most intangible, heightening and hypnotising one, and the closest to the soul...
