"In the 8th episode of our 🔴 Darmstadt On Air podcast Alexander Schubert, multimedia composer and tutor of the Darmstadt Summer Course, spoke to the German theater director Susanne Kennedy via Zoom. They both share an interest in digital tools and the artistic potential of virtuality in a performative setting. As the starting point for their discussion, each of them describes one of their recent works: Susanne’s piece “Ultraworld” investigates the human consciousness as a virtual construction and inner simulation of the world. It was premiered at the Berlin Volksbühne in January 2020.
Alexander discusses his project “Genesis” where he created a seven-day installation as a real life computer game in which the audience created a virtual world via online interventions. It was shown in April 2020."

Av3ry is an AI program and a virtual persona, who is composing music, communicating with people and learning from interactions.

The main component is the on-demand conversation and art generation of the bot. The goal is to create unique pieces of music and art in the given moment - and based on the criteria of the user interaction.

In the idle process, when not communicating, the system generates random exports and creates a database of 10,000 music pieces. Furthermore the system running on its own creates a continuous audio stream broadcasted live 24/7. It is continuously evolving and changing musical progression.

Museum of No Art [Hamburg, DE] What is in the Museum Of No Art? Not paintings, but visions. Not sculptures, but empty spaces full of potential. It is within this inverted gallery that Mona Steinwidder traces fabulous forms with synthesizer, clarinet and effects. Under the moniker Museum Of No Art, she has created an album that floats in a hazy lacuna between realities, rooted in propulsive and deep bass resonance, but also footloose, playfully deconstructing language and mixing in layers of echoing synthetic and organic tones. The fascinating result of these unfettered experiments resonate as an imaginary cadavre-exquis played by DJ Screw, Arthur Russell, Hiroshi Yoshimura, MJ Lallo, Poppy Nogood, and Laurie Anderson.
