”Last year around this time I made the first draft of what later would become 'Replika'. I had this techno vocal repeating in my head for some time, from a blurry night out, but I couldn’t find the original song anywhere. At last, I decided to capture the essence of that distant memory into a track.

I got some creative input from Floormagnet and when Zoo Brazil finally worked his mixing skills/magic in the studio, the track ended up sounding exactly the way it deserved to.

Along the way 'Replika' transformed into something of its own - but still captures that dark, catchy feeling I desired. It might even get stuck in your head for a while - or at least make you dance to it into the night.”

'leave a note' is a newborn independent Stockholm based music label. A disordered, creative playground for electronic music. Still a blank slate. With vague, but wonderful, visions of the future. 'Replika' is the imprint’s first release.

Some kind of tribute to the Though Alliance and their 2005 banger *Koka-Kola Veins", in a sexy "late night congas with a touch of Moog DFAM"-edit.
