Breece Suber is a French-American DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, channelling the groovy, hypnotic spirit of Detroit’s Black techno pioneers through a distinctly French lens.

Introduced to club culture at Paris’ legendary Rex Club through sets from Richie Hawtin, Robert Hood and Lil Louis, he came from a hip-hop background thinking techno was dry and boring. That's until he felt those DJs stretch time, flip expectations and turn repetition into freedom. That shock on the dancefloor became his obsession and his mission: to help more people find and connect with this music.

Half French, half Black American, his sound sits between the sexiness of French music and the stripped-back power of Detroit loops. Working across techno, house and electro, he builds sets and tracks from a strong, groovy techno core, then plays with the codes of other genres (hip-hop, melodies, chords, even classical-style strings and piano) to build tension before dropping back into the pulse.

On four decks he treats the mixer like an instrument, not a playlist: stealing a bassline from one track, laying it under the hook of another, and using EQ to deconstruct and rebuild familiar records in real time. 

In the studio, he applies the same science of tension and release: writing techno that stays hypnotic at its core while evolving through unexpected musical turns, and crafting drops that flip expectations. For him, DJing is a live equation solved with the dancefloor, and production is where those equations become tracks built to convert even the “I don’t like techno” crowd.
