NTEIBINT is the alter ego of the talented Greek producer George Bakalakos. Following EP’s on Bang Gang and Kitsuné and remixes for Jamie Lidell and Alex Gopher, Eskimo Recordings is proud to present his Never Without You EP.
 
Part charming pop, part organic disco, the original version of ‘Never Without You’ is one of many stunning tracks on our latest compilation The Blue Collection. This ode to love and longing now gets a full single release, including three fresh remixes and the brand new original ‘Baby’.
 
First remix comes from Bluford Duck, who’s featured on quality deep house labels like Jeudi, Suara and Sleazy Deep. His surprising take on the original creates a mood that’s perfect for any dance-floor.
 
Domestic Technology is a sunkissed musical project, heavily influenced by the sounds of the 80s and disco in general. Excellent rework by this Russian producer, approved by Aeroplane.
 
We discovered Gespleu through Satin Jackets. It is the alter-ego production guise of Anton Lanski who started producing at the turn of the millennium. Lanski's affair with sound "through heart, hands and computer tools" have led to a raft of successful releases and remixes, and this is no exception.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (5th June) Our first guest this week is Dan Shake, who released his first record on Moodymann's Mahogani Music label, which is no mean feat as he is the first artist to appear on that label that isn't from Detroit. His second release was on the excellent Black Acre label, which had spins on Solid Steel. He has now teamed up with recent guest Medlar for a new EP called 'Walk' on Delusions of Grandeur and is coming out at the end of June. He told us;
“This mix uses a variety of music I have in my collection, some old and some new. All of which i’ve been listening to lots at the moment, and all of which should get ya body movin’!”

youANDme is deeply engrained in the German electronic music world and especially the
international Berlin club scene. Not only are they in the heart of the bohemian capital for techno,
they also serve a greater role as its artery, pumping blood through its veins with their labels as the
valves. This has made them international transplants, playing gigs and festivals around the world in
cultural hubs like New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Tel Aviv. They have been in
demand by top brands such as Space Ibiza, Sonar Festival in Barcelona, KaZantip Festival in
Crimea, Panorama Bar in Berlin, and many more.
As the owners of Rotary Cocktail Recordings, Polymorph, CUTZ.ME, and three other mysterious
imprints, they provide a steady flow of music and talent from Germany to the rest of the world. As
DJs and producers, their music runs inherently deep, with a raw and kicking signature. The ideas
of funk and soul serve as its backbone across styles like house, techno, dub, and electronica.
Some of today's most recognized labels have taken note, with youANDme releases making their
way onto Cocoon, Rekids, Pokerflat, Compost, Rebirth, and more bespoke efforts like Ornaments. 
Apart from original productions, they're also well known for their remixes and edits, having done
official work for original house music heroes like Moodymann, Robert Owens, and Paul Johnson or
contemporary powerhouses such as Radio Slave, Seth Troxler, Steve Bug, and Lawrence. 2015
currently holds another release for Cocoon and a new outing on Desolat with a remix from the label
boss himself, Loco Dice.

Working from his hallowed Stockholm bunker with Studio Barnhus label mates Petter Nordqvist and Kornel Kovacs, Swedish art graduate Axel Boman makes music with a rare sense of charm, wit, and humour. In both EP and LP format, he focusses on playful and curious atmospheres, kinked grooves and left of centre sampling. When not making earwormy dance music, in the past he has been found synthesising sound with nuclear physicists as The Radioactive Orchestra and also works on more clubby fair with John Talabot as Talaboman. His sets, too, are just as joyous and off beat, and are as effective for trippy after hour sessions as they are for peak time parties.  

The one hour selection the singular selector cooks up here is something of a curveball, full of unexpected twists and turns that showcase a breadth and depth of his influences whilst sounding perfect for Spring time. It's an effortlessly jaunt through freewheeling melodies, excitable disco groovers and breezy, swinging house all peppered with classics, singalong vocals and feel good gems. Well balanced so as to not be all too sugary, the far ranging mix is another wondrous window into the colourful world of one of house music’s most likeable and easy going characters.

It was the time you could do that on the Sonar webpage, too. I was very sad, if these archives go off, for me it was like being in heaven.

I don´t know the exactly year of that live session anymore from Cobblestone Jazz. I think it was around 2003 and so outstanding if i heard it at that time, more than 10 years ago.

I don´t like their newer productions that much, for me that live session is the real one Cobblestone Jazz.

Mathew Jonson at Northern Lights - 2.4.2006

15 years ago, Mathew Jonson, Danuel Tate and Tyger Dhula released their first record as Cobblestone Jazz - an improvised live techno project - on Itiswhatitis.

They're a trio that continue to occupy an important space within the electronic music stratosphere. Together they operate as a band, with Dhula and Tate manning analogue drums and keys while Jonson works the drum machines and SH-101 that have brought him such renown as a solo artist. 

Here we have two of music's favourite condiments, live performance and improvisation, seasoning the techno party, a genre where “live” more often than not means pressing play on a software program. 

Tyger Dhula casts his net across broken beat, deep house and techno in this cocooning mix for Boiler Room.
