With 'Cycle' we welcome Kiko & Aves Volare to Lost on You with a pair of fantastic remixes courtesy of Waltervelt and Apnoea who bring us their take on the duo's new single; a dynamic, groovy, deep, and hypnotic fusion of genres that fits perfectly in any kind of club or outdoor festival.

Kiko & Aves Volare know a thing or two when it comes to mind-blowing productions, as they deliver an irresistible track that kicks off nicely with melancholic vibes that set the tone. They move effortlessly through melodies, while the sensual chords sit beautifully over the percussive base. The duo takes it up a notch by introducing Aves Volare's vocal work, while upping the tempo with cleverly programmed drums and their trademark effects elements, without destroying the essence of the main beat. His work deserves to be described as "essential" in any sense of the word.

As for the remixes, we welcome to the label Waltervelt who has delivered a glitchy remix of the original taking us on a classic Detroit electro trip, threading the quivering vocals through an engaging combination of 808 beats, crisp percussion, and haunting synth melodies that comes across as a more contemporary dance anthem driving through a 4/4 kick drum with little snippets of the original anthemic refrain.

The second remix comes courtesy of Apnoea, which keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive with a pulsing bassline before its drum fills and overall warmth combine to speak. Like something from yesteryear, but with a fresh sound, this mystical romp raises the energy levels, but sharpens the melancholy with elements both stripped down and lucid at the same time, before exquisite pads adorn the rework changing the mood and creating a blanket of warmth that envelops the affected groove.

With "Cycle", Kiko & Aves Volare manage to convey a message of emphatically sustained musical relevance to warm the soul. Not to be missed.

Fort Romeau’s own take sees him transform the production into an ambient and euphoric remix wonderfully captured by a high rising melodic synth melody.

We are pleased to present you the second EP of the infernal duo Internacional Electrical Rhythms formed of Trikk and Mathias Schober.
Let’s dive right in and start with Azaka and it’s live recorded percussion. This track just builds and builds until it falls back into that irresistible and sexy main groove. It reminds a bit of old DJ Gregory tracks, but 10 BPM less. Some would even say it is epic, we wouldn’t argue though. 
The second track Kosanba keeps the EP in balance. Kosanba sounds more like a Sci-Fi movie soundtrack at first listen. A basic rhythm built around a modular sequence, upright piano, washed out guitars and an eerie spacey melody with tons of reverb form a track that still works in a club context, yet it’s definitely one of those tracks for the right moments. Bruno and Mathias sure continue what they’ve started so well last year.

Producer, DJ, label owner and promoter, Alexander Koning, can boast quite a standing in the contemporary world of electronic music. Since Koning’s initial introduction to house and techno in the late eighties, he’s come a long way and seen his own material released with many reputable imprints in the industry such as Global Underground, Pacha, Bellboy, Circle ,Subliminal etc etc . 

Koning caught the electronic music bug after spending his youth attending underground illegal raves at abandoned warehouses and various locations across his home turf of Holland. This soon led to a desire for Alexander to host his own events, teaming up with friend Michel Becks for a string of small parties in their hometown under the name ‘Eye On The Future’, after great success things blossomed and soon saw a venue change to accommodate its following and the welcoming of internationally renowned artists headlining the events. The likes of Adam Beyer, Joel mull, Marc Romboy, Ben Sims, Valentino kanzyani , Martin Eyerer, Einmusik and Chris Liebing to name a few all  graced the decks for the the first time in Holland on Eye on the future , and eventually the prosperity of the parties led to a nomination for ‘Best Dutch Organization’ in 1998. To this date Alexander is still throwing successful parties  and continually keeping things exciting with fresh names being brought to Holland with every step forward.

Alexander can also boast a reputable presence on the DJ circuit himself, having played gigs at some of the globes leading nightclubs such as Watergate, Katerholzig,Sisiphos, Paradigm, Radion, Thuishaven Suicide Circus, Ministry Of Sound, the late Turnmills, Awakenings , Doka,Melkweg, Paradiso etc etc and the Dance v
Valley, Sunrise, Wooferland, 5 days off, Loveland Festivals (this is just a little summary of which clubs and festivals he played). 
His djing took him to  a lot of countries worldwide like Sweden, Hungary, Bosnia, Ukrain, Russia, Belgium, Croatia, England and Germany to name a few.
This stands as testament to Koning’s ability as a DJ amongst other skills. Now at this present date, after a five-year hiatus due to health issues, Koning is back in full force delivering more of his classy house and techno grooves via [Percep-tion]. Hosting label showcases at one of Berlin’s leading club spaces Katerholzig and Sisyphos and at Amsterdam’s Doka, Radion and Stalker.

As [Percep-tion] continues to grow we’ll see Koning delve deeper into his experimentation between art and music, fusing the two through record sleeves and homemade art. While also working alongside friend and production partner Andy Slate under the ‘Distorted Beauty’ guise, the material of which has already been snapped up by the likes of ViVa Music, Tonkind and Tulipa, again a telling sign of the creativity that continually flows and never falters through this impressive talent.
