Week Sounds

On this record, we can hear me washing the dishes in my kitchen (Coimbra's house) at the end of the afternoon, with the window open letting the outside sounds come in. There’s the water running, the clinking of plates and cutlery, and the faint hum of the environment around the house. For me these sounds are tied to a sense of care, of leaving everything ready for the next person to come and have dinner with everything clean and in place.

This sound was recorded in Jardim Botânico, where I tested dropping a stone into one of the fountains to create a sound.

2# SoundWeek - Natural Sounds

On this record, we can hear the sound of my electric shutter closing as I was getting ready to sleep. It was recorded at night, in my room, right before turning off the lights. The mechanical hum of the shutter blends with the quietness of the surroundings, marking the moment when the day comes to an end. For me, this sound is tied to a feeling of closure and comfort — the small ritual of creating a sense of safety and calm before resting.

4#Week Sound - Rythms and patterns ("small night ritual, ready to sleep")

This sound was recorded on a Sunday, when I was almost arriving at the Coimbra bus station. It was raining, and people were already starting to get up.

Sound recorded at the Candlelight concert in Conímbriga, with the theme ABBA x Queen. The instruments used were violin, viola, and cello.
