This mix is dedicated to all the peaceful warriors out there, seen and unseen, but there nonetheless:  those holding the frequencies of peace & trust & love, & taking the courageous steps needed to follow one's heart and mission here on the Planet...we're all in this together, and I wish us all deep peace in our hearts and minds...soul music saves lives, KEEP THE VIBES HIGH (in body, soul, mind)...!

Nada Yoga means 'union through sound.' As the ancients knew that meditation on sound is a universal path to self-realization, this 36min guided journey is intended to work with your heart and bring you back 'home' into a pace of 'yoga' 

Incorporating ancestral medicine songs with layers of soundscapes; the land, sea, and sky are invoked with the help from contributing artists; Premratna, Benjamin Last Music, Marie Gabriella, Lulacruza, NASA, the birds of Aotearoa New Zealand, and many more.

This was my first transmission, the composition flowed through my fingers, and my first time recording using a DJ controller.  I am so grateful when even one person listens to the music that flows through me, so I would love to hear from you if you resonate!

Home Comforts - 05 - Bath

Niklas Wandt is a drummer/percussionist, producer and DJ living in Berlin. Originally from a diverse self-taught background of Free Jazz, Rap and Psychedelic Rock and matured at Düsseldorf's Salon des Amateurs, he pushed more and more into electronic territory. Main live collaborations at the moment are Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt (Growing Bin Records) and Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge (Themes For Great Cities).
The latter just released their acclaimed EP “Leben” in March, January saw Niklas with the “Wismut” EP alongside Sascha Funke on Multi Culti. More releases lined up in the next months include a remix EP of Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt, a solo percussion heavy EP and collaborative efforts with Cass., Alek Lee and Kris Baha.
As an instrumentalist on the drum-set, congas, frame-drum and more, Niklas feels strong ties to his roots in Jazz and Fusion as well as to Middle Eastern and West African drumming. Improvising within the archetypal framework of tension and release, Niklas explores the slow variations of a musical sequence from scratch to catharsis, from the barely audible to the hard-hitting. Gongs, bells and random everyday objects frequently become preparations on skin and metal and produce a haunting ghost vocabulary of wonks, wails and drones.

A Niklas Wandt DJ set reflects his diversity of interests with as little care for genre and imposed boundaries as possible. Fringe dance musics from percussion and library records, spiritual jazz, Balearic pop, pumping Wave and Industrial, far out Tribal House and Kosmisch synth excursions dubbed and blended in a natural flow. Don’t expect dead-serious four-to-the-floor. Stretches of hypnotic repetition easily detour and resolve into mildly goofy moments to make you smile.
