UK drum & bass heroes Drumsound & Bassline Smith are back to their brilliant best on future classic ‘Fearless’. The Midlands based trio have spawned numerous hits in recent years, with ‘across the board’ tastemaker support from MistaJam to Annie Mac, and ‘Fearless’ is tipped to be their biggest single yet.

Built on a rock-solid beat and heavy bassline, ‘Fearless’ is an uplifting, high-energy D&B track, taken to the next level by the vocal talents of ‘one to watch’ Stealth - who recently appeared on Roger Sanchez’s new track ‘Remember Me’ (Pete Tong Essential New Tune). It began as a whisper, spoken in low tones in multiple languages in the uneasy night. Talk of a place where the greatest of mecha roam, gathering amongst the desolate ruins of a war prepared for and never fought. The first explorers returned with stories of low frequency weapons, harvested from the ruined depths of a subterranean complex. With these re-engineered into towering relays capable of pure sonic carnage, the lands began filling rapidly with pilgrims from distant places, offering themselves as captives to their own higher mental states. What was once a mere whisper has now become legend, with this meeting of the mightiest clans bringing forth the greatest frequency warriors to stake out their claims. 

EATBRAIN casts a long shadow across the fray, setting seasoned label veterans L 33 and MINDSCAPE into the hordes of adrenaline-fuelled ravers alongside recent label additions MACHINECODE and AGRESSOR BUNX - all of whom have LPs coming on the label as well as appearing at the festival. A tight manifesto is stretched across the 4 rowdy and high-energy tracks that make up the EATBRAIN GOES TO LET IT ROLL, with the irresistible audio manipulative skills of Eatbrain crafted to exquisitely tear up the dance. A reflection in sound of the perfect marriage between one of the best contemporary neurofunk labels and one of the most impressive live spaces that exists for drum and bass.

With Radio 1 airplay, A-list deejay support, download chart success, and prestige bookings at Let it Roll, Fabriclive and beyond, it's fair to say No Concept are tried and tested Technique Recordings soldiers. And now they're on maybe their most insane mission yet. The first thing you'll notice about “Weirdo” is that it features the idiosyncratic lyrical stylings of Bizarre. Yes, that Bizarre. The one with the shower cap out of D12, making, as far as we know, his first foray into DnB. As he tells us “ain't no-one crazier than me” over the tension-ramping intro, anticipation crackles. What's coming is an absolutely ridiculous drop that's going to see this tune become automatic wheel-up material. The aggressive punch of the drums is counterbalanced by the swing-time syncopation. The morphing, fluctuating bassline bounces around the frequency spectrum. This is addictive dancefloor music combining all the majesty of a big room epic with low-down gritty rave-hyping energy. So, it's yet another banger from the No Concept boys! And, maybe more importantly, it's revealed yet another facet to their style. These producers raise the bar for themselves every time, and you can bet they'll be ratcheting up to even higher levels in the near future. Watch the ride.
