I composed it a little after New Year’s Eve 2024 it’s one of my newest tracks.

It is maybe the final version or one of. It is mostly one take Piece, with a few minor track re-recordings, and it was intended so. 😊

2 years after creating it and finally, Le Grand Pirouette, my composition, continues to evolve I believe!
As I have already mentioned, my purpose isn’t to record 0 mistakes, flawless, or even edited recordings BUT TO TAKE YOU ON THE JOURNEY from when it appears in my mind and my heart and then slowly emerges and shines in something new every time.

Composed in 1839 during a pivotal moment in Chopin's life, this hauntingly beautiful prelude captures the fragility of human emotion. Chopin wrote it while residing in Mallorca, a period marked by his battle with poor health and the complexities of his relationship with writer George Sand. Amid the picturesque yet turbulent backdrop of the island, this piece emerged—a tender reflection of melancholy, introspection, and grace.

As you listen to this interpretation, I invite you to step into Chopin’s world. Imagine the dimly lit room where his delicate hands glided over the keys, expressing feelings too deep for words. My approach stays true to the intimate sorrow of this prelude while exploring the universality of its longing. In every note, there’s a quiet resilience—a whisper of hope amidst despair.  


About My Interpretation
I’ve aimed to honor the emotional depth Chopin infused into every chord and phrase, emphasizing the contrast between stillness and movement. The slow, deliberate pacing reflects a heartbeat, capturing the essence of time slipping away—a theme Chopin often explored in his music.  

This performance is a tribute to the enduring beauty of Chopin’s legacy, a moment to pause and feel the depth of human connection through music.

My name is Alexandru Ciobanu Al Rufei, and I am a Concert Pianist, Composer, Songwriter, and Ballet Piano Accompanist. As a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor in Arts/Piano Performance and over 15+ years of teaching experience, I am thrilled to share my musical journey with you.

Here’s a glimpse into my musical achievements:

	•	2001 – Third Place, International Piano Competition “PRO-PIANO-ROMANIA”
