The Future Disco brand has been renowned for their iconic compilations since 2009. With an A&R reputation for compiling and releasing credible collections and the digital landscape giving labels more freedom than ever before, it seems like the perfect time to unleash singles on the label, keeping to the 21st Century Disco sound they have carefully crafted since day one.

The first release on the label comes from Vhyce, a producer from Belgium who makes funk laden house and delivers a remastered version of his dancefloor hit Just To Make Me, including brand new remixes from ONSRA (Exploited) and Till Von Sein (SUOL, Dirt Crew Recordings).

Up next on Phonica Premieres is a seriously groovy cut from International Soleil Band off the new Soundway 12".  Ta Lassa is an '80s West African Disco crossover from the International Soleil band straight outta Guinea. Composed by Gnamakoron Sidi Diabaté it was originally featured on an album released in 1983 by French Warners offshoot WAM (West African Music) - a short lived label that recorded about 20 releases of West African music released in France. Also Featuring Mory Djely Kouyate this track was a staple of the 22 band's repertoire in the 1970s (in which many of the ISB played) - famous for their recordings on the legendary state-run Editions Syliphone label. We've decided to premiere the extended (DJ friendly) Hide & Smile edit on the A side. There's throbbing bass and keyboard interplay punctuated by classic Guinee guitar lines, metronomic drumming and 80s synth sweeps eventually drops into a more recognisable Guinean vocal outing. Hard Ton, Italy's extravagant duo of all things house music are back on Luv Shack Records, unleashing six steaming hot tracks on the "Queer Nation EP" - a precursor to the first full Hard Ton album that is due for 2017. "Queer Nation" has singer Max swapping his falsetto with a dark mangled voice, paying tribute to some essential queer icons over a dry acid house track that rejoices in repetition, and rightly so. "Classic Music" head-honcho and old timer Luke Solomon's remix of "Queer Nation" builds up an intense 707 drum pattern, underlining rhythm guitars and Max's voice, ending in a bold acid climax. Italian newcomers "Younger Than Me" also take on "Queer Nation", marrying an early 80's wave touch with a classic house approach. When Hard Ton pair up with ROTCIV, "Style Ga-Galore" awaits us. The cut up hushed vocals are thrown into a lush melange of filtered pad shots, a 303 bassline and a percussive house groove. "Yeah Yeah" featuring Moralez & Sames is an ode to early Detroit and Chicago house, with Max singing vigorously, syncopated hihats swirling and stabs nodding towards lil Louis. The final track is a LeSale disco dub of "The Way You Rock feat. Mirror People". LeSale strips the original drums completely, rearranging the vox, piano and synths to fit his disco workout edit style, adding a cheeky synth bassline to complete the boogie redress. “Over Paradise” is the second track taken from the forthcoming Echoes of Paradise EP on a brand new vinyl label out of Washington, D.C. by the name of Better Listen Records. It starts off with a bit of a filtered disco vibe as sampled female vocals are played over a groovy beat and bass while some keys gently loop in the back. A high string line amps up the anticipation and boy does it deliver as the track takes off into a jazz funk fueled jam. Led by a jazzy flute and super groovy bass, the main stretch of this tune makes it impossible to keep your feet still. Keep your eyes peeled for this EP as we expect this one to be a hot commodity with the release just around the corner!
