Andin Randobrava

Music producer

Andin Randobrava was born on July 6, 1979, in Pristina. He’s the son of prominent composer Reshat Randobrava, a fact that considerably justifies great love of Andin for music. He started to express his pure artistic feeling for music as early as 3 years old, and among the first words he learned to speak was PIANO, the instrument on which he performed since. As the years passed by, his love was cultivated not only for the instrument (the piano), but also for the music in general, and it grew further and rooted in his heart and spirit.

He has completed elementary and secondary school of music in Pristina.

The way he has to go in his music business is long, and Andin still has much more to do. But, Andin’s desire, will, and professional approach to everything that he does, are a guarantee for the successful completion of that journey. 

Looking at the retrospective of the work of composer Andin Randobrava, we will go through years and see some of his successes in the field of composition and arrangement of songs, which are done 100% at the studio that he runs, called “Randobrava Records”:

Participation in various musical manifestations:

1995 – For the first time participates in a song festival – Show Fest - being the youngest composer at that edition. He was only 16 years old then. The song called “Why are you tormenting me,” composed by Andin, was sung by Anita Vukpalaj, and made it into the final night of the festival.
1996 – Participates in Show Fest for the second time. His song was sung by Elizabeta Qarri and Arian Rexhepi.
1997 – Participates in Show Fest for the third time, where his song was sung by Valentina Xhakli.
2001 – Composed the song “Dracula,” which participated in song festival Polifest.
2001 – Arranged songs for Show Fest
2006 – In a public debate on the Radio Television of Kosovo there was a talk among composers where he was invited to participate along with colleagues such as: Valton Beqiri, Xhevdet Gashi, Rafet Rudi (professor of composition), and Baki Jashari (Director of Kosovo Philharmonic). The topic was “Can you consider as composer a person who is not educated for composer at the respective school branch?” In a rather long debate, Andin also said that “Everyone in this profession should start and complete the studies, but my case is rather special, I have the professor at home,” thus naturally referring to his father, composer Reshat Randobrava. Professor Rafet Rudi followed: “I do not question the fact that Andin Randobrava is a composer. For Andin’s age, the number of works composed by him clearly shows that, and that number is fairly higher than of his colleagues, and not only as a number, but also as genuine works and artistically very much acceptable – hits for the best singers in Kosovo and wider.”
2007 – Composed the song “Without farewell,” for the song festival Lyra Fest.

Awards:
2001 – First place as composer and arranger at the Polifest, with the song “Dracula,” which was sung by Rinesa Deshishku.
2003 – First place as arranger at the Show Fest
2004 – First place as composer and arranger at Polifest, with the song “C’mon, C’mon,” sung by Monika Salihu.
2007 – First place as composer and arranger at Lyra Festy, with the song “Without farewell,” sung by Valon Brajshori.

Andin Randobrava has realized many songs for children, too. Among many successes we will mention the song “Very nice girl,” which was declared a hit of the year, as well as many more songs for kids.

It was founded in 1997, and ever since it has operated as a music production studio of professional standards, with a group of professionals in all stages of song creation: composing, arranging, back vocals, lyrics.
Randobrava Records operates today as an independent enterprise which offers complete management of new talents who want to become part of our music scene. Service packages include production of a whole album, design of album covers, creation of a personal web site for the singer, billboards, song video clips, and placement of the same on TV.

Within the various styles of music that carry the stamp of Randobrava Records are also musical scores for movie and theater, a kind of music Andin started to compose even before the last (1999) war in Kosovo. His passion for film and theater music is inexhaustible.

House music is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the American city of Chicago in the early 1980s. It was initially popularized circa 1984 in Chicago, but beginning in 1985, it fanned out to other major cities such as Baltimore, Detroit, Toronto, Mexico City, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Montreal, Cancún, Manchester,[1] Miami, London,[1] and Paris. It then began to influence popular music in Europe, with songs such as "House Nation" by House Master Boyz and the Rude Boy of House (1987) and "Doctorin' the House" by Coldcut (1988) in the pop charts. Since the early to mid-1990s, house music has been infused in mainstream pop and dance music worldwide.

Early house music was generally dance-based music characterized by repetitive 4/4 beats, rhythms mainly provided by drum machines,[2] off-beat hi-hat cymbals, and synthesized basslines. While house displayed several characteristics similar to disco music, it was more electronic and minimalistic,[2] and the repetitive rhythm of house was more important than the song itself. House music today, while keeping several of these core elements, notably the prominent kick drum on every beat, varies a lot in style and influence, ranging from the soulful and atmospheric deep house to the more minimalistic microhouse. House music has also fused with several other genres creating fusion subgenres,[2] such as euro house, tech house, and electro house.

Many local Chicago house music artists suddenly found themselves with major label deals. House music proved to be a commercially successful genre and a more mainstream pop-based variation grew increasingly popular. Artists and groups such as Madonna,[2] Janet Jackson,[3] Björk, Kanye West,[4] and C+C Music Factory[2] incorporated the genre into their work. After enjoying significant success in the early to mid-90s, house music grew even larger during the second wave of progressive house (1999–2001). The genre has remained popular and fused into other popular subgenres, as the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll has been dominated by house DJs since the beginning of the polls. Today, house music remains popular in both clubs and in the mainstream pop scene while retaining a strong foothold on underground scenes across the globe.
