He cultivates a strong eclecticism reflected in the artistic direction of his podcast channel https://soundcloud.com/club-soba. He regularly makes a splash  behind the decks, like at Nostromo Festival or when he plays with his friend Dawidu, with whom he shares a sharp taste for tracks that come out of nowhere but make everyone crazy.

What did you have in mind for the mix?

First of all: as always when I am about to record something for public streaming I get super nervous. Especially if it’s for a person I know for such a long time and have much respect. I wanted to show how I evolved since the last talk and what happened to my style. It‘s been a while since the last recording for allalone / archives. Basically I would say I wanted to record something special to surprise the listener. At least that is what I always expect from a podcast :)

Two of our favourite things at lempuyang HQ are deep techno and curry. As one of Glasgow's best exports in recent years, Chris covers both bases. He also happens to be a shithot (geddit?!) DJ and producer. Chris first came to our attention after his contributions to the always excellent OHM Series label, and he was subsequently invited onto our annual 'Pura' V/A compilation, comfortably holding his own against heavyweights such as Hydergine, W-Moon & Merv.

In addition to the above, you'll also find Chris loitering in the rosters of Mixcult, Greyscale, and we highly recommend picking up the excellent Sons of San release on Verdant.
