For the 6th consecutive year already, we're hailing the sun, the summer and the best time of the year. Again, we've tried to find the best music to transport the ultimate summer feeling and yes, we found titles screaming sunshine, outdoor dancing and lots of fun. As always, we're presenting the exclusive contributions a bit earlier under the name "BT",  split into two parts this time, and later as a part of the full "BBQ Techno“ compilation, enriched with highlights out of our repertoire!

03 Hans Thalau - Animation (Snippet)

Hans Thalau is a core element in the ever-decreasing circle of true House/ Techno Soul producers and is head honcho of the highly respected Thal Communications label. He has produced for the likes of Chicago's Fresh Meat, Ferox Records, Connaisseur Recordings, Dark Energy Recordings, Deep Data, to name a few. Amoung his collaborations are works with Russ Gabriel, Matthias Vogt and Afrilounge. As a DJ, he is as reknowned for his wild "behind the decks" antics as he is for his deep and groovy sound. Born in Jamaica to parents of Indian descent, Hans is now over eighty years old, has three pet dolphins and was single-handedly responsible for the invention of the Betamax video format.

A devoted progressive disciple for as long as he can remember, MENDEL (FR) strives with his obsessive track selections and introspective melodic journeys blending into the deep realm of consciousness.
His sets are unique curations assembled beyond passion, shattering the paradigm altogether.

With a sound influenced by the iconic Paradise Garage and Studio 54, Keep Me In The Light has landed releases on esteemed labels such as Polari Records, Paradise Palms, and The Basement Discos, with a 3-track EP coming this summer on Hammer's Remmah label. His tracks have garnered massive support from a who's who of DJs, including BBC Radio, Erol Alkan, Curses, Hammer, Dam Swindle, and Maceo Plex. He has also built a dedicated following through his Italo Disco edits, which have been praised by the likes of Gerd Janson, Sarah Wild, and Alex from Tokyo and Cormac, with the tracks being played at the infamous Berghain's Panorama, Burning Man and Horse Meat Disco.
