Hard to believe, but this is actually Olderic’s first solo EP on Connaisseur. After various collaborations, remixes and showcase participations, and as one of our radio show's hosts , the maestro from the CIRQ club near Venice has finally dropped a three-tracker all by himself on Connaisseur.

Straight up, you have definitely noticed at least one of the titles on  "The Secret Chambers EP“ in any one set of our Italian family lately, as all tracks have a very prominent sound design you'll easily recognize after having heard them but once.

"Pyramid" is the peak time pleaser of the release, a proper 3am monster designed to create mayhem on the dancefloor. The touching "Hydre Intime“ will more likely find its place in the morning, while the dubby "Walking & Waiting“ is a genuine warm-up tune. A lovely package by a great artist.

Coming straight off the back of their Selador debut on the recent Showcase Compilation with their track 'Armanus', Mexican production team Chaty, Tamez & Gabriel I return with their first fully fledged single release for the label, the 'My Escape' EP. 

Something of a sister piece to 'Armanus', the title track is a slice of brooding modern electronic house, full of eastern promise and melancholic textures. With it's distinctive lead Virus synth and Turkish flavoured inflections, it feels like the love child of a Dixon DJ set back to back with Sasha. Yes, that good! 

It also comes with two remixes. The first, a big room monster from Selador's very own Dave Seaman who utilises the original's the lead riff to great effect whilst adding some driving, hypnotic, wonky percussion and a vocal sample so disguised you'll never guess it in a million years. Huge!

Next up is fellow Mexicans, Climbers who head into deeper territory for their interpretation. Losing none of the original's drama, they darken the mood further with a cool and confident workout that radiates sophistication. A sultry seductive beauty if ever there was one. 

And wait, there's more! Adding even more weight to an already hefty package, one of our favourite Berliners, Joal joins the party with a brand new remix of the trio's aforementioned Selador debut track, 'Armanus'. Also taking the deeper route, Joal works his magic with flurries of surging arpeggio adding intensity to the ethereal eastern flavours over a relentlessly solid groove. Ace. 

On top of all this there's even a bonus track too and not just any old token thing that the guys found lying about on their hardrive. 'Honest Perversion' could easily have been a single in it's own right! Yet another expertly crafted piece of electronic dance that as beautiful as it is deadly. Do not miss.

We asked label artist and long time companion Ante Perry to create two mixes for us: One from the vault of time and one with recent releases. Nick Devon's most recent EP, 'Adrasteia', sends sounds of spatial seductiveness through speakers. This four track EP includes title track Adrasteia, Glacier, Devotion, and Sunflower.

'Adrasteia' contains flirtatious melodies which twinkle brightly by contrast against the dark, deep chords. An entire solar system on it's own, 'Adrasteia' is a new experience altogether. Inducing inspiration through this spacey track, Nick Devon pushes his ability to ingeniously craft beauty into sound.

'Glacier', a track fitting it's name, contains a subtle, siren-like sound accompanied by a tangle of percussions that create a sense of constant growth. Swelling ever bigger, larger, and more intense, this is a 'Glacier' you wouldn't wish to avoid on your journey.

Moving further into this musical journey, 'Devotion' plays on Nick Devon's ability to hit hard while softly caressing the atmosphere set around this EP. 'Devotion' is a perfect harmonization of different styles of techno, making it without a doubt, one of the most unique productions on this EP.

Finally, 'Sunflower' closes the EP through both an insanely emotional collection of sounds, as well as a sophisticated arrangement. 'Sunflower', perfectly matching it's title, turns happily to the lighter, more captivating sounds, while remaining firm in it's core and bass line. 

One not to be ignored or forgotten, Nick Devon consistently conveys his mastery at sound design through multiple arrangements and styles, all the while keeping his own touches consistent.

Futureboogie​ open their 2017 account with a new release from ​Lizards​, the Newcastle based duo otherwise known as Lee Forster​ and ​James Hadfield​. After appearances on labels like Leng Records, Join Our Club and ​Not An Animal Records​, Lizards strut their stuff across two original tracks, whilst man of the moment ​Lord Of the Isles​ weighs in with a superb remix. The percussion driven house of ​“Tzatziki”​ kicks of the release, wrapped in warm and inviting pads and piano riffs. Shades of old school Chicago house meet sun-kissed Balearic vibes on this early morning riser, as the heavyweight bass sounds curl around the raw drum programming and illuminating keys sprinkle over the production. On ​“Aloof”​, the tempo is taken down somewhat, as a bass line wanders over a steady kick and otherworldly ambient sounds and hushed vocal clips lazily glide over the 4/4 arrangement. As the track unfurls, more melodic and percussive elements come into play, blossoming into a something quite epic and unique. With a slew of releases for quality imprints like ​Permanent Vacation​, ​Firecracker​, ​Mule​ ​Musiq​ and ​ESP​ ​Institute​, Neil​ ​McDonald​, ​AKA​ ​Lord​ ​Of​ ​The​ ​Isles​, serves up a deliciously chugging version of “Aloof”. Pedestrian’s dreamy tune “Hoyle Road” claims the historic second release slot on the legendary James Zabiela’s Born Electric imprint. Quite a newborn indeed, the label was conceived just under a year ago. With a dedicated weekly night at Space’s We Love… party in Ibiza last summer, the project has grown to do many big things since, including a Boiler Room takeover. That was actually Pedestrian’s second Boiler Room appearance.

Pedestrian, aka Jack Sibley, came of age musically in the realm of soulful drum-n-bass, with early acclaim from Giles Peterson on Radio 1 and DnB artist, Commix. But as you’ll hear in this clip, his style has branched far beyond the confines of any singular genre.

The Born Electric Facebook page proudly posted this about their upcoming second release:

First heard publicly closing out James Zabiela’s Boiler Room set, the then unfinished track caused quite a stir, with an untold amount of enquires as to who it was by and when it was getting a release.

We managed to keep this a secret until the time was right & now we can reveal all! Stay tuned for some pretty tasty remixes being announced throughout the coming weeks. Behold!
