We're going into the second round of remix extracts for Of Norway's 2014 album “Accretion”. Already the frst release with remixes by Adriatique and Lehar for the wonderful “Spirit Lights” was and still is a big success and we are sure the interpretation for “It's You” we will be equally successful.

The original is a Kraut-House epic with the haunting vocals of Norwegian singer Lois, and for us from Connaisseur one our favourites from the album.

Just like most tracks from Of Norway, “It's You” is an original predestined to be remixed.
First on the remix duties is Eric Volta, an artist we highly appreciate, mostly known for his releases on No.19 and Visionquest, as well as a bunch of amazing remixes. He is a thoroughbred musician and massive talent. His way of building up his tracks is extraordinary, he doesn't just tell stories with his tracks, he tells fairly tales. Mystic, surprising and touching is also his interpretation for “It's You”. We were (ohne almost) speechless when we we heard it for the frst time. A track for a special moment and perfect for Connaisseur. We are in love with it!

The second remix comes from The Drifter, the third man of the Maeve collective next to Mano Le Tough and Baikal. 2015 seems to be his year, as what he has delivered so far in the past months is pure bliss. His remix for “It's You” is further proof for his unstoppable rising success. With his interpretation he starts smoothly but quickly builds up an alluring tension, setting several freak-out moments for the club with his breaks. We are sure you will hear his wonderful version very often on the dancefoors in the next months.

The ninth edition of “Four To The Floor” is here. Diynamic Music’s very own various artist series, which is always comprised of four dancefloor oriented tracks that have one special quality in common: they have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs all over the world.

Dee Montero from Belfast delivers the opening track “Halcyon”, an emotional house track with deep strings. Number two is Diynamic regular Thyladomid with his contribution “Exit”. Up next is the dark and gloomy Techno track “Nebular” by Raxon from Dubai, and, closing off, the heavy, guitar-laden “Dark Place” by Spanish duo Lopezhouse.

Berliners Daniele Di Martino and Solvane join forces at the intersection of Deep and Tech, serving up three weighty cuts of four-to-the-floor heat in their “title” EP.

“Back to” plunges in with a gradually ascending staccato of vibrant synths, laying down the groove bar by bar. In contrast with the light emitting synth array comes a low key bassline, making for a down to earth yet dreamy overall ambiance. Silenced echoes last for a few moments until ‘Reality’ kicks in with subdued groovy bass and faint vocal chops. The two producers aptly use slow paced build ups, creating ever-ascending yet constantly grounded melodies. Stil vor Talent kick-starter Marc Holstege on remix duties delivers a smooth rework of Reality.  A resounding synth lead carves out subtle rhythm variations while metallic percussion adds to the gravity of the piece. 

“Kraxler” touches a different strain of their production spectrum, revealing a composition that is equally introspective as it is dance-inducing. With a minimalist backbone and arpeggiated string arrangements, it suitably rounds off the EP with a mesmerising melody dotted with punchy accents, fit to stir up any dancefloor.

Release Info: 
Motek music is exited to welcome Miyagi to the label with his single ‘Mescal Lane’. He has delivered an emotive piece of deep atmospheric House, full of warm flowing pads and soft Asian style pan pipe and flute textures. Strong drone bass elements add grit and depth to a production that constantly moves and evolves from start to finish. 

Remixing on this release we have Stevie R with Delfin and Alex Zed, Kora and Speaking In Tongues. Stevie R, Delfin and Alex Zed have stripped the original back, making their take more spacious and punchy. Keeping elements of the original in the pads and woodwind, a weighty kick and bass line have been added to create a deep groove whilst chords stabs bring in new focal points.
Kora has also stripped back the original to create more groove play and space within the track. The use of percussion comes through in this more techy mix and has a more hypnotic feel with subtle lead line adds in the low end and its continuous rolling beats.
Finally Speaking In Tongues are back on the label bringing a driving bold remix to Mescal Lane. A track with no real break it keeps pushing forward with intelligent arrangement through interchanging parts. Most notably the addition of the triplet lead line brings depth to the production and cuts a strong focus to the track.
