Originally debuted on Dixon’s formidable Essential Mix in September, Downtown Party Network ft Egle Sirvydyte dropped ‘Space Me Out’ on Silence Music along with remixes from Musk, Mario Basanov and Hannes Fischer back in 2013. After much critical acclaim and being well-played by many top-djs, the track is now remixed by Downtown Party Network into this sparkling 2014 version. Portuguese artist Delectatio is a new signing to Silk Sofa. His EP, "Sunrise", features four unique and unforgettable downtempo cuts.

"Numinous" starts with intriguing guitar riffs and enjoyable melodies on top. Soon, intricate percussion elements as well as hypnotizing vocal stems emerge, while the delightful theme melody continues to liven up the soundscape. A blissful guitar line and soothing percussion elements introduce "Be Free". Fascinating vocal stems are added later, thereby adding an extra layer of delicate and refreshing textures. "Remember" begins with a stunning atmosphere, including a number of lush synths and an intricate bassline. A mesmerizing arpeggio melody emerges later, and numerous sound effects continuously spice up the soundscape. The final song in this package is "Latibule". Beautiful melodies are quickly established, and multiple new layers are added on top, as the song progresses. The soothing breakbeat comforts the listener even further.

Ngene Mwaura will forever be known as a brilliant artist and beautiful human being. My new EP titled “Ngene” is a tribute to him. 

Some years back, Ngene and I met at Coachella's DoLab Stage and instantly became friends. His wild, creative passion alongside his sly sense of humor made him a super fun and inspiring companion. 

I have always described music as a non-plausible immediate moment—the threshold between entropic collisions of air pressure. Ngene’s artwork embodies this exact instance—its powerful collision of forces so unlikely that the only way to describe it is as a phenomenon. Like those hallowed audio moments when a musical note piques your ears, Ngene's art opens your eyes. 

Moses Mwaura, Ngene’s brother, has started a fund to help build a museum in Kenya that honors his brother’s work. Tierra Sounds, Michale Sandler and I are donating all sales from the EP to help build the museum.
