Iain Chambers' music explores the hidden soundworld beneath the places and sounds we think we know well. He often uses field recordings in the composition process. Iain is a founder member of Langham Research Centre, British musique concrete composers/performers. He is also a director of Open Audio, a new multimedia co-operative. iain@openaudio.co.uk

At the heart of what we do is a belief in the imaginative possibilities of radio. Sounds that can reconfigure the world around you, move you through inner landscapes, sink into your dreams.

We are an intentionally small company that considers carefully the creative, social and political aspects of the work we put out into the world.

Falling Tree has two full-time Directors – Eleanor McDowall and Alan Hall – and we work with freelancers across our projects, including the core Short Cuts production team of Alia Cassam, Axel Kacoutié and Andrea Rangecroft.

We are one of the founding signatories of the Equality in Audio pact.

Amine Bouhafa is a composer, orchestrator and musical director. He composed the score for « Timbuktu » a film by awarded director Abderrahmane Sissako which had been nominated for an academy award and for which Amine won the Cesar award of best original score.

Louisa Lim teaches Audio Journalism and Podcasting at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Advancing Journalism. She has been a journalist for more than two decades, working a foreign correspondent in China for a decade for BBC and NPR.  She co-hosts a podcast on China, the Little Red Podcast, which won the Australian Podcast Award's News and Current Affairs prize in 2018.  Her book, The People’s Republic of Amnesia; Tiananmen Revisited, was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize.
