Cindy Ortega fue uno de los siete hijos nacidos y criados en Santa Ana, California de padres de Morelia Michoacán, México. Sus padres se dieron cuenta de su interés por la música cuando era una niña por que empezó a imitar y cantar junto a sus artistas favoritas en la televisión. Los padres de Cindy la animaron a realizar en todas partes incluyendo swap meets, hogares de ancianos, festivales y hasta funciones de la familia. A los diez años entró en en dos concursos televisados llamados "Cuanto Cueste El Show" y "Facilisimo”, donde se llevó el primer premio.

Las influencias musicales de Cindy se deriva de artistas como Linda Ronstadt, Juan Gabriel, Selena, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston y Celine Dion. Animada por su mentor, compositor Ismael Camacho, ella comenzó a escribir sus propias canciones y desarrollar su estilo de escritura. Sus melodías infecciosas combinadas con fuertes letras que hacen reflexionar llamó la atención del productor musical latino, Michael Figueroa. Sus colaboraciones tuvieron un gran interés.
 
Después del nacimiento de su hijo en 2001, Cindy decidió tomar un tiempo libre de la música para dedicarse a su nueva familia. El proceso de escribir y interpretar estaba siempre en su mente. A finales de 2012 Cindy Ortega conoció a los compositores, Leticia Ascencio y Javier Ceja quién créditos incluyen Kat Deluna, Jessica Sutta (formalmente de las Pussycat Dolls), Daniela Romo, Christopher Von Uckermann, Rigo Luna y Javier Iglesias, a través de la famosa red social, Facebook. La colaboración entre ambos era mágico. Ellos escribieron su primera canción en Octubre, un tema Navideño titulado "Esta Navidad". Pocas semanas después de subir las canción para los fans, la canción recibió más de 4.000 visitas y más de cinco invitaciones para cantar la canción en vivo por la televisión nacional. Esto reavivó amor por el canto de Cindy.

Cindy Ortega was one of seven children born and raised in Santa Ana, California to parents from Morelia Michoacan, Mexico.  Her parents took notice of her interest in music as a young child when she began to mimic and sing along to her favorite performers on television.  Cindy’s parents encouraged her to perform every where she could including local swap meets, nursing homes, festivals and even family functions.  At the age of ten she entered in two nationally televised contests called “Cuanto Cueste El Show” and “Facilisimo” where she took the first prize.

Cindy’s musical influences stems from artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Juan Gabriel, Selena, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion.  Encouraged by her mentor, songwriter Ismael Camacho, she began crafting her own songs and developing her style of writing.  Her infectious melodies combined with strong thought-provoking lyrics got the attention of Latin music producer, Michael Figueroa. Their collaborations lead to major label interest.

After the birth of her son in 2001, Cindy decided to take some time off music to dedicate herself to her new family.  The process of writing and performing never left her mind.  In late 2012 Cindy Ortega met songwriter Leticia Ascencio and Javier Ceja who’s combined credits include, Kat Deluna, Jessica Sutta (Formally of the Pussycat Dolls), Daniela Romo, Christopher Von Uckermann, Rigo Luna and Javier Iglesias, through the famous social network, Facebook.  The collaboration between them was magical.  They penned their first song in October, a Christmas theme titled, “Esta Navidad.” Within weeks of uploading it for fans to hear, they received 4000 views and over five invitations to perform the song live on national television. This reignited Cindy’s love of singing. 

The first single “Si El Fuera” can be heard and purchased now on iTunes. Her freshman EP is due to be released later this year, but stay tuned for more surprise releases and collaborations!

Six strings and a pair of fully able hands.

In 1989 Jose Montes De Oca begins his career as a singer and musician being the main vocalist of a Spanish Rock band, called  “Ley de Hielo”. “Ley de Hielo”  was the first band  in Los Angeles  CA to  be signed by “Aztlan records”. They worked under Aztlan records for four years giving live to two records “Señor Cementerio” and “Frontera Azul” albums that were promoted nationally in the USA, Jose Montes De Oca was know as the best voice in L.A. In 1998 Jose Montes De Oca left the band to create  his own band, “Nefalim” a fusion of electronic and rock sounds giving live to an independent album under the same name.


In 2009 Jose Montes De Oca gets his first “Monitor Latino/Los Composito- res Award, as a composer in the international category with his song “Me Quede Sin Nada”, being this the start to a new phase on his music career. In 2010 Jose Montes De Oca, decides to continue as a singer but as a solo- ist, bringing us a fusion of Rock and Latin sounds. Working as an indepen- dent artist he promoted his album in USA and Mexico, almost at the end of his tour “Me Quede Sin Nada” he started composing new songs for his new album “Tocame Suavemente” inspired on his own experiences in  Mexico City.


Now in 2015 Jose Montes De Oca brings us his new creation full of energy “Tocame Suavemente” a fusion of pop, R&B and electronic sounds. Jose Montes De Oca keeps looking for the opportunity to grow in the music industry and find a record label to help him escalate to the next level.
