I listened to one of the first drum covers I could find with Alexi Blue's cover of 'Royals' and it sound so nifty that I had to mix it and this was the result of it.

I haven't made a CMV for it yet, but I just wanted to share this quick little combo cover I made. :D

Nel XVII secolo, gli africani furono forzati ad arrivare in America, affrontando sofferenze immense. Nei campi di tabacco e cotone, furono sottoposti a lavori estenuanti e crudeltà. Da questo dolore emersero gli Spirituals afro-americani — canzoni piene di desiderio di libertà e conforto. Questi spirituals hanno gettato le basi per il Gospel, un genere musicale che continua a risuonare profondamente nella musica moderna.

Il termine "gospel" deriva dall'antico inglese "godspel", che significa "buona notizia". Esso rappresenta la diffusione della parola di Dio attraverso testi sacri e melodie vibranti. Mentre gli spirituals sono folklorici, creati organicamente dalle comunità, i gospel spesso emergono da elementi composti, fondendo tradizione e innovazione.

L'Evoluzione della Speranza e dell’Espressione
Con l'incontro degli schiavi con il cristianesimo, le loro canzoni cominciarono a intrecciare la speranza di una vita migliore e il ritorno alla loro terra natale, tutte sostenute da una profonda fede in Gesù Cristo. Nelle piantagioni, questi primi cristiani trovarono forza e conforto nell'espressione musicale condivisa, diventata parte fondamentale della loro identità.
