Pigeon Steve is a familiar face amidst the Glasgow underground, as the co founder of the long running Partial parties and as a stellar producer.

He has been involved in the music scene for many years and has developed a keen reputation for his work in the studio which is perhaps best highlighted by his bold decision to present this mix which consists entirely of his own productions. No small feat.

Last year he released his debut EP via Future State but by the sounds of it there’s a whole shedload more to come.

In terms of style, his music sits somewhere between disjointed Dub, Slo-Mo House and Downtempo which makes for a drugged out trippy excursion on the dancefloor. This mix demonstrates a well rounded approach and impressively carves its own niche.

Subtle reflections of the sun catch your eye as they gleam off the slow-flowing water. You match the streams pace and stare into the horizon in awe at nature's phenomena. Every colour in the sky slowly becomes more vivid and you feel gradually more weightless. The edges of existence begin to glow and you close your eyes, relying only on sensation. For Trushmix 229 Rat Salad is back in the mix! A long time since we heard something from him. The outrageous underground living large rocker is this time on a more esoteric frequency. After two previous quality RNR, punk, metal mixes, he has this time been diving into a more spiritual and easygoing vibe, and exploring some outernational rhythms and grooves. Shifting between organic and electronic sounds. Still with the characteristic vintage RNR touch, but musically exploring different territories.

After stumbling into some fluoro drapes and mad psychedelic music somewhere in a field around 93, the path to becoming a Goa Trance DJ was inevitable.
Before the turn of the millenium and after having lived the dream, I realized there was maybe a bit more to life and sailed towards a different journey. Meeting many friendly music heads along the way who always helped broaden my horizons... Spinning round the block and back a few times... Carrying on my mission to spread the music or the word, I eventually came back to the sound of my youth and gave it a new twist. 
In life, things always come Full Circle and you will find a good representation of that here… 
Been trying to slow things down as much as I can in these modern days where we all live in the fast lane!
