Drrr 000test Session

A simple, cheesy 90 minute time-boxed jam on my new Roland JV-880 to try and nail down a workflow using my Nektar Impact LX25+, Logic, and the unit. This only uses the stock sounds; I bought the Bass & Drums card planning on using it to make schlocky 90s video game music with my Rocktron Chameleon but I took this detour instead. I still have to figure out how to attach MIDI CCs to parameters in Performance mode and fix a few weird bugs in Logic regarding monitoring and MIDI messaging but I learned a lot today.

This started as a two-hour timeboxed jam and ended with me finishing it instead of doing housework on a Saturday morning.

Silly Korg Triton/M1 Plugin Trance Jam (20230708)

This is what happens when Alex installs the entire Korg Collection of plugins then mashes them up with LM-1 samples at 9:00 on a Saturday night. I spent literally 25 minutes on this and mixed it on MacBook speakers... I hope you like handclaps :-]. In which Alex discovers time stretching and Xfer Serum. This definitely needs some fleshing out but I'm too damn proud of it to sit on it until I've actually finished... I've no idea how people used to do this on hardware samplers and retain their sanity.

Got a Polyend and chucked a shitload of samples into it. This this is incredible... easily the most productive workflow I've had thus far. Sampled some stuff from the radio as well for funsies.
