Recently I’ve connected with O G Jelly (https://on.soundcloud.com/Xfkd1uq0HnblSJ1dHs  )  over a mutual appreciation of classic edm / breaks / techno - from before all the sub genres were even named. And enjoying each others tracks too. 

So I was inspired to go back to this track from about 1991/92. I’d just discovered ‘rave’ music. And as a pianist this was f**king awesome. Especially in a world of Kurt Cobain and dirge guitars. This was the first track I think I sequenced on pro12 (which became cubase) on the Atari ST. It was called ‘rave’. And it was a sprawling cacophony of euphoric rave piano riffs. 

Dusting off the old midi files from the 90s I’ve dragged the track into 2026 (sort of). The piano kick, hi-hat, bass and lead are pretty much as recorded all those years ago. Albeit with new sounds. Vox, extra synths, loops and arrangement all new. Thank you O G Jelly for reigniting a fire of inspiration.

This track is recorded in one session on the Pittsburgh Modular electronic music instrument Voltage Lab 2, routed via the Roland SRV-3030 reverb unit. This is my first proper track using this rather challenging electronic music instrument.

This artist likes to mix genres. His influences range from metal, classical, idm to world.

- Here on offer is music created using several hardware synths, effect modules, as well as a few software synths and sound editing software.
- My main musical interest is the mangling of sounds. Melody and structure is nice too, but only when used sparely. My style relates to the sonic explorations at the borders of tonality and beatless rhythms.
- My favourite occupation is fiddling with knobs and finding sounds never heard before.
- Mostly I strive for the ambient style where the rhythms grow from sounds interveining with each other.

Creating music is an emotional outlet for me; when it flows smoothly, it's even more rewarding. I'm not perfect, but I continually refine my craft. 

All tracks are mixed in at least Dolby 5.1 (some in 6.1) and optimized for Dolby Atmos, with basic mastering (compressors, limiters, and volume adjustments).

This is my idea for working together on a track with more then 2 people. The idea is free to adding or amend things:

Idea:
-Virtual Machine with a DAW for multiple User with a latency control. (Microsoft based, application streaming, Citrix have an established technology for that, but it is also possible create something for free with special RDP Connections. It have to be Microsoft based, because there is no real good virtualization for macOS ARM based computers)

Requirements:
-VM (enough ressources for the hardware performance: 16 Cores, 64GB RAM, 500GB HD, Hardwarebased Audio Device - Passthrough or virt. shared Device, 2+x NICs)
-new udp protocol settings for latency client analyzing (ping retrieval setting 10ms and back report to the DAW VM) and adjusting the main pattern with collide check (should be support a hash check for packages)
-(CDN) Access Points for a better performance/latency
-Audio redirect, maybe over a virtual VST device as channel pass through to the DAW, also combined with the UDP protocol
-Important: the latency and protocol (this is something, what I might have to code by myself)
-separate audio channels over a different nic port (UDP) - flac realtime encoded (may be by an separate encoding section =>part of a NVIDIA/AMD graphic card which only operates for encoding for the whole system, RDP, Audio, Video, etc).
