Inspired by "Midway: Message from the Gyre" a documentary by Chris Jordan about the beauty and horror of Midway Island located in the central Pacific.  Once a WWII battle ground, now a marine dumping ground which receives about 20 tons of plastic and other debris per year effectively killing 1/3 of the bird population and harming other species such as sea turtles and seals.
