Coyu steps out on his own Suara label with a long overdue debut album entitled ‘You Don’t Know’ that is going to shatter all conceptions about him. The 16 track affair showcases his broad range and takes in collaborators like Moby, Lazarusman, The Horrorist, Thomas Gandey and many more. Says the artist himself, “the album is named ‘You Don't Know’ because many people have a preconceived idea of who I am. Until now, maybe I wasn't smart enough to show them my roots, what I love and what I can offer to the music. I'm not just a DJ or a producer who can play or make grooves – I love many different genres and many different kinds of music. With this album I want to change that preconception.”

Part 2 in the "Noir Remixed" series has landed with more fantastic remixes from some of my favorite producers.
Nicolas Bougaïeff, Ramiro Lopez, Wlderz, Spektre, A.Mochi and Spiros Kaloumenos.
You probably know some of the names, some you might not have heard of but the fact is...... You should really have all of them on your radar cause they all create incredible music and have a stunning back-catalogue.
I chose the remixers strictly from my own personal taste in music and it’s all producers I felt could take the originals in total different directions.

For Respekt 174, we are excited to present a double A-side from rising Italian talent Konrad. Kicking the release off is 'Satellite', a punchy number that sums up Konrad's quirky, unique sound perfectly with it's enigmatic acid bends and tripped-out pitched delays. Deep Dimension crank up the power and the tempo on their remix, for a more overdriven, analogue take on the idea. Finishing things off is the more synth-led 'Rotary', matching creepy arpeggio clusters to devilish drones.

Closing out the EP with a punishing remix, Spartaque takes no prisoners when he delivers his slice of peak time techno that’s both raw and impactful. Seemingly unstoppable, his version of Cento knows no limits and fuelled by claps and aggressive vocal stabs, it’s got a compelling style perfect for the dance floor, but certainly not for the faint hearted.

Radio Slave’s momentous ‘Another Club’ receives two thumping remixes from SRVD and Charlotte de Witte.

‘Another Club’ was the 100th release on Rekids and dropped as the label celebrated a milestone ten years. It unquestionably became one of Techno’s biggest tracks ever made. Two years later, the landmark production receives outstanding remixes from two of the genre’s most salient artists: NovaMute producer Charlotte de Witte, who’s just collaborated with Chris Liebing on her newly launched KNTXT imprint, as well as the ever-impressive Patrick Mason and Radio Slave who team up again as SRVD.

Charlotte de Witte’s remix of ‘Another Club’ marches forward with pounding 909 style kicks, hooking acid hits, fleeting voice samples and haunting pads. SRVD’s remix then uses the vocals as stabs, adding tension with rave inspired synths, buzzing keys and splashing cymbals, while locking it all together with thundering drums and sub frequency rumbles.

Against a Dark Background – the full-length studio album from long-standing British techno duo, Spektre – will be released in early 2020 on Pleasurekraft’s esteemed Kraftek imprint.

Following their critically-acclaimed debut album Casting Shadows Without Light in 2010 and their sophomore outing Cyclic Operations in 2013, Against a Dark Background will be the third studio long-player from partners Paul Maddox and Rich Wakley, who have been producing together under the Spektre moniker since 2006.

Currently in the top five-selling techno artists worldwide and with over 500,000 streams per month on Spotify, Spektre have taken the electronic music world by storm over the past few years, with their forward-thinking productions and high-intensity live performances resonating with legions of loyal techno fans across all corners of the globe.

It had been over 5 years since the release of 'Cyclic Operations' when we first started work on the new album in earnest, so we wanted it to be a representation of how our music has evolved in that intervening period. The writing process itself was a lot more reductive than the previous two albums. We holed ourselves up for a few months and hammered out loads and loads of ideas, then filtered and refined the pool through playing them out and getting feedback from a few trusted pairs of ears, until "Against a Dark Background" began to crystallise into its final form.
