When Paul van Dyk, one of the most iconic and influential names in dance music, creates a song inspired by one of the most beloved, cult favorite television shows in recent memory the potential is boundless. Paul’s newest release, ‘Hawkins Square,’ pays homage to Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers' Netflix smash. 
 
Stylistically, ‘Hawkins Square’ is driving and dark; a bath of progressive house and squelching 303s that’s a nod to the show's mysterious story line. “The inspiration is the thought of the clashing worlds, the two sides of a coin that essentially mean the same one thing,” Paul says.        
 
‘Hawkins Square’ arrives at a time of great activity for Paul van Dyk, in addition to a steady flow of original material and remixes, Paul recently announced that he will be returning to the United States with a series of dates that will offer an early preview of his upcoming studio album. Talla 2XLC strikes back with his techy alias RRAW! for the awesome headbanger Futuro on Technoclub Pure. Futuro is geared towards the deeper darker melodic techno meets trance sounds that definitely will hit the spot for any fan of this very popular subgenre at the moment. Punchy bouncy dark basslines, moody raw atmosphere and cool little synthy rays of light to bring some euphoric moments. The breakdown is cinematic and absorbing so expect to lose yourself in it with hands in the air. The climax continues on the same dark driving style with raw dominating industrial like synths upon the solid foundation until the nice mysterious synthy riff is coming back again to keep you focused dancing as you take a walk on the wild side of dark tech trance. That’s Trance surprise its faithful followers once again with the magnificent collaboration between the legends of the German trance movement Talla 2XLC and Alex M.O.R.P.H called Afterlife. Talla 2XLC had a very busy summer performing on top festivals like Airbeat One, Nature One and Untold to mention just a few. His single Avalon on That’s Trance is a sensitive melancholic but still very uplifting roller coaster of emotions and energy that will carry you away on its gravitational waves. Club and in festivals tested already Avalon continues the stream of high class trance anthems by the legend Talla 2XLC.

From time to time, i´d choose a track i like and tallatize it. Sometimes its a slower progressive tune, other times something completely different. When i heard "Alan Walkers - Faded" i was enchanted by the atmosphere and the vocals. I thought this track should be also danceable for the uplfting crowd and after tallatizing from 90 to 136 bpm it became such a nice rework, that armin van buuren picked it up, played it at asot 755, asot 750 miami, asot 756, asot 757 and called me "the master of reworks" ...awesome, right ;-)

Back to those statistics. M.O.R.P.H. is an all-time trance bestseller on Beatport and has twice entered the fabled DJ Mag Top 100 list.
